Why dont people squad up?

Detrium Suporea Stardust incorporation 6	Posted - 2013.09.08 02:21:00 - [1] - Quote Is it just me or does anyone wonder why people dont just squad up when they are in a game?!? its surely better all round with the bonus wp for helping squad mates and chance of an orbital strike surely its a win win They don't have to make conversation or even bother sticking with your squad if they don't want to. And then!! you get the squads of 2 or 3 that you do try to join and they get all pissy shouting blueberry blueberry and kick you out you score 1200 wp but no orbital because people are dicks!!! well thats my rant i was wondering if there were like minded mercs out there sharing my frustration....Peace.

My contact list has exploded because everyone was loving my active scanner gamplay, said it improved their games as well. I have a mic and I like to do small strategy chats and build chats, so I usually drum up some sort of conversation. Though I agree that most don't join others games despite everyone else saying to squad up even.

Every time you mention OBs in teamchat suddenly the whole team is squads. Most of them dont even know how to set orders. Etc. The reason is no ingame tutorial and a shred of CoD-induced arrogance.

I do join every game but most of the time can only manage a 2 man squad 3 if i'm lucky. i admit It is only on the rare occasion i encounter a hostile squad.

That's the beauty of the first class chat feature on this game with all the channels available at all times with easy mute and block features nobodies being forced to talk or listen to anyone.

The squad leader never issued commands, verbal or otherwise, and he never got the OB out. I squad up to play as a squad, you know with teamwork. You can't have teamwork in most squads of just randoms. So I don't squad with randoms very often. OB's are useless in the hands of the ignorant so there isn't any point in squading for that reason and I just wish people would stop pushing that useless propaganda. Squads are for squad-play and NOT for OB's. I've never seen an OB set by a squad of randoms turn the tide, but a semi-competent squad who play as a squad can (OB or not).

Dust becomes a totally different game once you are in a good corp.

Personally I play Lone Wolf from time to time, whenever I am not up to playing well with others or want to just drive around and Tank for a few matches. Testing new HAV Fits and not worrying about winning for the Corp. Until you have a mic and can squad up DUST is just a F2P CoD/BF-Digit in Space. Hard to explain to a New Berry that is truly new to FPS, Online and Multi-player all at the same time.

Sometimes I'm just grabbing a quick match in between doing things at home too and don't want to join and drop. Then there is the ability to spawn all those unsquaded blueberries by dropping uplinks when not squaded. I tell myself I should join squads but always end up having a lot of fun going solo.
