For the past year and 4 months I have fought for heavies. I have grilled CPM to push for more heavy updates, I have voiced loudly concerns that have hampered us and put us into a single role most of us didn't desire, especially considering this was suppose to be a 'sandbox' game. I was a part of the movements in uprising raging over what had been done to us, but now I feel like I've lost touch with a lot of you.
The reason for this: I Rock. The new updates fix on hit detection has been, in simple terms, amazing. I can down anyone I see. In my several PC matches I have gone 20+ kills, always winning my 1v1's. No one can escape my suit once they get into a certain distance. They're just dead meat to me. At best they'll take my armor down to half. Team fire and running away is all most AR's have, and running away isn't the solution because I have my Logi-LAV parked right next to me with 2848 shields.
It's my opinion this update has done wonders for us. I almost feel like everyones hitbox is larger.
Maybe it's because I never stray too far from cover, so I can get there attention, they'll fire at me, I'll seemingly flee, then pop back when I notice there reload and gun 'em down. Or maybe it's just how I feel - I can out DPS anyone.
I don't even use proto gear - It's the ADV suit, 2 dmg mods, 2 armor mods, 1 repair mod, and ADV HMG with flux.
The point: I do not agree that heavies need a buff in anything but a bit more range. |

I thought the advanced had either 2H/2L for basic and 1H/3L for sentinel. I have noticed it is easier to hit people now but even a good heavy can drop in a second. Because of the low TTK most weapons have in Dust all people need to do is spray in our general area and we drop because of the heavies big hitbox. |

My ADV is the same without the repair mod. I use supply depots for healing
and if people are spray and praying with me it hasn't been working for nearly 20+ pub games or 4 CB games.

heavies need a range buff for sure. and something for the suit like resistant modules. The problem with the suit is the big hit box slow movement speed and friggin horrible precision enhancement. I have mine at 4 and am actually using the enhanced on my suit just so I can see those pesky shotgunners sneaking up on me ... it doesn't work. |

It would benefit the heavy since using it would take away a slot that would of given more HP - and since the heavy has the most to begin with the value is higher for us then the other suits. i'd love to see it added.
But more then that - I want to see diversity added for the heavy. Racial suits - obviously, but what I really want to see added is more heavy weapons more then anything. |

Well you just got lucky ALLOT of times. The past 2 weeks have been hard for me and my hmg. My advanced sentinel has about 1300 hp and I still loose in 1v1. |

It's about who you're facing. I can go 20+ easy too...against noobs. Play against assault players than can actually shoot back and see how many 1v1's you win.
Not saying you're bad, but from my experience with both heavies and assault set ups, the heavy sucks, and imo, this update is the worse update for heavies since Uprising 1.0.
I've been a devoted heavy for a while now, and this update made me switch to full time assault now. Only time i pull my heavy suit out is to FG vehicles. The assault class is by far more versatile, fun, and effective. Feel free to play the class, but when people realize ARs > HMGs in CQC, I won't be here to chime in. |

yea man, smh. Before 1.4 we were 'OK'... not great, not bad, I could live with it. Now it's really bad. Oh well. Got my trusty Duvolle hanging up and my basic assault suit ready for action |

Every weapons need their strength and weaknesses. HMG have sheer close-medium range firepower... buffing the range would make it OP, just like it was about a year ago when they nerfed it for this very reason. |
