No doubt, that I will get widely criticised for this post - but I don't mind ;).
I am personally finding the matchmaking system, a little bit too good - in terms of grouping the vets up. I have been playing ambush today (for the SP event, mostly solo), and I have found that there are roughly about 30 players getting grouped into the same matches, over and over again.
I wouldn't say I was amazing at this game, I'm averagely good, - with a KDR of 3.16 (not that this is the absolute indication of skill). However, these group of 30 players are all the hardcore vets (GAC, teamplayers etc) of the game and the games are tough. It feels like playing in PC. competitively - wise; which is fine, for a bit.
After a while I want to find a game, where I can solo and be effective doing so. This matchmaking system, has made playing ambush solo, very tough. To the point, where I only want to squad up with corp mates, to be able to be more effective in the game.
Are others finding the same issue? Or should I just put up and shut up, and get better of course ;) .

Hmm.
Well, perhaps now we know that while MMing works to group better players with better players, perhaps that no squad mode everybody desired could be another mode.
Gives the lone wolfers someplace to avoid squads.
While the bane of new guys are vets, the bane of wolfs are squads. |

I guess CCP might think that there aren't enough players for that, though. But if it could be implemented, I would like to see that. |

Definitely noticing the same thing. I'm enjoying the more competitive play as well. I haven't had so many close matches before this update. Nearly even clone wars and MCC battles every match. Very few times have I been put up against new-berries. I find it more fun, and advancing my skills in the game by playing better people more often. I mainly have only been running with squads because of this, but I find it more fun to be with a squad anyways. |

I agree with your view. Closer battles, generally. |

Another reason why people say the aim assist is doing the work for scrubs. |
