I'm just curious as to why it's a percentage and not a sure number. They just did that with the Swarm Launchers in the recent patch yes? It would be nice to not feel like I'm wasting points in this. With what it's like right now, I have no idea how it adds up in the end. I would like to see an actually number since it's for something that doesn't need any factoring or something like with range and damage. I've put two points into AR ammo and still have 60 ammo per magazine. Or does this represent how much ammo you can carry and I'm just being dumb. I tend to misunderstand what I'm reading in this game. |

It would be better with flat numbers. There's no reason NOT to do it that way considering it's specific to the weapon already. With respect to the second question, it's boosting your maximum ammo capacity - your clip size (or magazine size) is a separate stat.
There aren't many things which impact that (oddly, since custom magazine are among the simplest and most common things for existing firearms today - you can buy pretty much any size of magazine you want for common pistols and rifles). So, I can understand why you'd "expect" it to be impacting clip-size since that's real-life easy thing to modify... as opposed to magic-ing up space on a suit... by skilling up a gun. |

When a skill says it increases clip size, it increases clip size. When a skill says it increases your total ammo, or your ammo reserve, it doesn't increase your clip size, and it doesn't say it increases your clip size either. |

Thanks for confirming that. I would still like to have just a basic number so that it would be more clear to me what I'm getting out of it. I'm not in the mood to do math, especially with percentages. |

The reason it's not a basic number is because different weapon variants have different total ammo counts and different clip sizes.
Giving a Tac AR and a regular AR the same fixed number of extra bullets is either a buff to the Tac or a nerf to the regular AR. |
