Posted this in GD earlier but was buried - belongs here anyway.
Only allow aim assist to work on other people using aim assist!
This lets new people fight each other fairly, and stops us scouts getting insta-killed by anyone who sees us. It also gives vets a choice, they can either lock onto some people and be face being locked themselves, or continue on, as it was last patch. I didn't hear any complaints. Besides, surely its more profitable to make new players want to be in proto gear and use aurum to speed things up.
Also, if you are going to implement this, make sure you disable the option to change it ingame/lobby, so that you only need to perform a check upon players entering the lobby : ) |

Eh... It's hard for me to explain why, but I feel that isn't going to be an effective solution.
How about modifying the system such that it only magnetizes if the user actively moves the reticule in the direction of the target?
This would cause strafing to become viable again while keeping enough aim assist to fairly make up for the shortcomings of a DS3. |

Aim assist is meant to improve the aiming mechanincs and feeling for everyone, it should be something to smooth the whole thing and make the game enjoyable... it's not an aim-assist war.
I can't pretend everyone likes the new aim assist, but this idea breaks the concept behind what aim assist is. |

With the aim-assist what it is now, it makes some roles unplayable, scouts, speed tanked logi's etc. Something needs to be done to save scouts before its too late. As it stands, aim assist is a massive advantage, with no counter. This would be a counter. |
