A good thing you ask sir.
I have read Pax Amarria, and the holy scriptures of the Amarrian Empire during my education as a Templar, however for many they simply search GalNet or one of many Amarrian theological council outlets in order to received abridged versions of the Scriptures.
You can find them here. This is perhaps my reference point for the Scriptures on short notice. http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/The_Scriptures#Book_of_Missions
I particularly love the Book of St Anoyia. Her words speak to me. |

Seems like wishful thinking for those who fear death, an event that you as Templars shall never have to experience. It amuses me how you in your faith as immortals shall never enter the afterlife you advocate. |

And are we not Immortal?
- The Scriptures, Book of Reclaiming 25:10
"So the Lord sent forth the Chosen, to bring forth the light of faith And those who embrace his love Shall be saved by his grace For we are his shepherds in the darkness His Angels of Mercy. But those who turn away from his light, And reject his true word Shall be struck down by his wrath For we are his retribution incarnate His Angels of Vengeance" - The Scriptures, Book of Reclaiming 4:45

I struggled with that issue when I was made immortal, I feared that my Faith was weak and wrongly placed because all I sought was the entry to heaven.
However when I met the slave Satja I understood why I must fight. The Minmatar are a fractious and young people, their tribal society drives them into acts of violence and hate, I heard the threats of terror against the Amarrian people by the Matari terrorist Kagehoshi Horned Wolf and I understood that in sacrificing my place at God's side I would be able to ensure that my people knew no fear, no war, no suffering, and that in being a shield before them I would earn God's love even if I was never to be by his side. |

I am judged by him. I broke the bonds of a mortal life and defied his creed. Such is my peril, I am damned, and will continue to be, my only hopes are that I may redeem myself through service. |

Those of us who take the step into immortality do so with the knowledge that it is for the greater good of the Empire. One may think immortality is permanent it is not. If there is no clone to transfer into then one may die with their honor and with blessing. |

"At the end of days when they descend Watch for the coming of the Ark For within it, salvation is carried" - The Scriptures, Book II, Apocalypse 32:6
Alas, there will be an end of days for all the physical world. Our physical immortality is actually a misnomer, for nothing physical is immortal. The day will come when God wipes clean that which he has created, and all the souls deemed worthy of the afterlife will live on. |
