I find it just comical that as soon we got a update every 1 just turns their attention away from massdrivers. They still deal the same damage, they still have the same blast radius and apart from the armor buff nothing has changed in terms of HP. It was a smart move for CCP not to nerf the massdriver and for once their predictions where correct. Aiming got "fixed" and now it becomes very clear what the true OP weapons are and allways where. Fully auto assault rifles and scrambler rifles (though scramblers are still exotic view on the field). AR's need to be nerfed hard either with reduced damage or more kick while shoting fully auto. |

MD's are OP, very very much. I was using EX0 and EC3. Now i don't even bother with those. I'm killing multiple proto suits with just the Standard MD. Tell me i'm wrong or making things up, but it wont change the fact that MD needs tweaking |

Well first of they need their ss compensation of 10% damage taken back, then kick and dispersion, after that they may need a little less damage.
The reason why people used to complain about the md because countered he texan 2 step, but now every weapon does this there all just bitter!!
Aim assist isnt nearly as bad as everyone says, its just compounded by the hit detection!! |

What is so op about them?? You can just cqc spam them anymore, not with ar hit detection, thats only thing that could have been considered op, and now YOU CAN SEE THE SPLASH RADIUS, its nowhere near op, it never really was in uprising, but 1.4 has proven it beyond doubt!! |

Mass drivers benefited like no other from making themselves hard to hit (while still hitting on every shot), so the changes (especially the strafing fix) seem to have hit them quite drastically.
My prediction was that mass drivers would continue to escalate. So far it looks like I was quite wrong.
I'm still thinking that it might be better for the game (and mass driver users themselves) if mass drivers would be balanced for slightly longer range, so they can be made more powerful while not being too easy to use.
The question is, do you want an easy weapon, or a potentially very effective one? Both are viable routes, but it can never be both at once. |

Honestly the MD is still too powerful but right now with the AA and everything..... the rifles are a bigger issue. Why? The reason the ARs were balanced before it because there was alot of missing while you were firing and attempting to track the target....even the best players still had a harder time tracking their targets.....now target tracking is easy peasy. With hit detection actually working now then add in massive aim assist that allows you to basically never miss a single shot.........yea it needs adjusting....AA needs some massive reductions. |

Lol. Maybe they die so fast BC everyone is armor tanked now. I put 3 complex damage mods on my freedom and as long as I play it as more PG a fire support role than a CQC assault specialist, it absolutely tears the meanest heavies up and assaults rifles lose their mind when I take of all their shields with a direct hit.
AR needs a nerf BC it hits harder than an HMG...that is not okay. |

Sure, the SG is better, now, but its harder. However, past 40m, hitting anything with a mass driver takes a lot of spam or a lot of skill. |

Im not gonna convince you, and your perfectly entitled to your opinion, but I tested this "aimbot" throughly with all the weapons that recieved, the I tested it without it. The hitting behind walls thing still happens, this I believe is lag compensation!! But tje aim assist is just that assistance, it doesnt actually move your barrel, it changes sensitivity there is no headshot wonder, no target snap, and most definitely 100% no inputless tracking!
I did better with it off, they have improved the aiming in general across the board!! HOWEVER there is still something fishy, hit detection seems odd, I believe this is down to lag compensation, hitboxes appear to trail or stretch behind the enemy, and appears to do this more the faster you travel, hit boxes do need to increase a LITTLE under movement, but not by much and shouldnt be noticeable!!
Im going to ask ccp for clarification on the matter and see if they can replicate it in house!! Your support would be appreciated! |

If you talking AR per shot dmg needs to be lower than HMG then your high on something. HMG WWWAAAYYYY out DPSes the AR already. |

The MD is only "easy" in its niche, and until 1.4 it and the sniper rifle were the only ones that actually competed in their niches!! Shotguns now do cqc so much better and the laser rifle is undeniably brilliant at its range!! However due to the nature of the weapon it can actually fufill to niche enviroments short range breach, or long range area denial!! As per its description there is no need to change it, its now balanced!! |

People still hate Mass Drivers, I've been in many a squad where a stray kill from a rare mass driver causes rant of how OP it is. While I silently use it. But hey, I'm cool about my mass driver. Sure I pack it with flux but my Pistol is my primary. I tend to use mass driver in times of crowds, longer range, or emergency. I pack my semi-skill weapon with a uber-skill weapon.

Dont give me that rubbish, it hasnt changed the only way your killing more people is taking advantage of the terrain, or people are just getting dummer!! The fact that the md still does its job is actually testament to the fact its now balanced!!
Yes there are points in the new maps that scream mass driver, but there are also parys that scream shotgun, laser rifle, sniper rifle, hmg and hell even tank!!
As for aim assist, its not doing what anyone of you bitter "pro" players are claiming!! Dunno how to tell you this but . . .

Well I don't run an SMG or an AR with proficiency yet so I don't benefit from hip fire auto kill.
I will though by this weekend. I'll just run around hip firing and going 25-2. It'll be really fun I'm sure. |
