So since the beginning of 1.4, I vowed to continue using the Mass Driver, I had picked it up in 1.0 and it instantly became my weapon. Now during 1.3 ill admit I used it a bit too much cqc bunny hoping.
However since 1.4 it simply doesn't work, not aim assist, but hkt detection, I couldn't charge into on incoming fire anymore, something needed to change!!
So sure enough I started running with a squad we began communicating, and joined a skirmish match. The match came down to the wire, Null Cannons swaped hands faster than live a bomb!! We slightly pulled ahead, yet the enemy kept pushing. And this is where I found "MY DUST"
Our squad commander ordered us to hold down an objective, tactically it was closest to there redline, the enemy were really pushing for the cannon but me and my team held down the point!!
I used my MD as a terror weapon creating a bottle neck, then putting more shots into the enemy group!! As the fight raged we got pushed back, more and more enemies were poring in through different avenues and we forced in short range combat, once again the md came into its own, the splash allowing me to hit multiple enemies, around corners and behind cover!!
We held out to the end of the match, with nothing more than a few nanohives and a last ditch orbital, the combat was fast an exhilarating!!
1.4 has created more opportunities for matches like this, and is overall better for the game! |

You might need to be prepared to change your tanking tactics come 1.5, but once you find your personal niche, the game opens up!!
It used to be that I could run into a room fire some md slugs and walk out, it was cool, but not really fun, that match was the first time where I felt that my effort and actions had consequnce, that I really made a difference to the battle!! |

Effectively but now, Im using it tactically, using it correctly, as part of a squad, not just soloing with the flux md combo. I use the same weapon I liked the change in pace!! |

Its awsome, the flare effect allows me to play with their minds as well. And well I can deny an area far greater than just the radius of the md, I can still assault with the squad, but its not just running at them anymore, you have to do things tactically, you have to think further than you can see, imlike it!! |
