Each race gets one avatar for their characters, but we could have so much more.
(4) races
(2) Male or female.
(3) There are 3 frame sizes per race (they're not here yet, but the art is; click here http://i.imgur.com/sUmwLWh.jpg , and here https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BP7AbvhCcAAEr3D.jpg)
(2) Within each frame size there are basic frames and different specialization with different colors (also keep in mind lights will have a pilot specialization).
(2) Within each specialization there are different tiers that offer different colors; STD/ADV colors, and PRO colors.
(???) colored AUR camouflage prints.
(???) Extra coloring combinations can also be added to the avatars to go along with the planned "paintbucket" dropsuit coloring system.
Multiply those numbers and there should be at least 96 possible avatars, 24 per race. This can also apply to the displayed images for characters in the character selection screen.
I want male Minmatar heavy commando prototype avatar for this character.
At the very least, 3 frame size avatars per race should be possible. |

I went to the extent of leveling to an advanced commando suit, putting money on my card, buying aur, then buying 1 neo proto commando suit.. JUST to favourite it and strut my ass about in it xD customization would be cool for my other characters |

I'd just like to be able to use the Eve avatar system, to be perfectly honest. Picking through a selection of pre-made portrait doesn't really connect me with my character, but customising my character does. Those blue dreads that my Eve character sports would look pretty awesome with a suit of armour to be honest. Would make walking around the war barge and mercenary quarters much more interesting at least. |

Clearly the art work is not finished but your ideal ( like most that you have ... I must admit ) is good . I would like to use the suits and now seeing these pictures just makes maters worst . It's like being a child and finding where your parents hid your Christmas gifts . NOW ... I WANT THESE THINGS NOW !!!!!!!!!

Can't wait until the moment when your character can be designed as well as EVE characters (With limitations, of course). +1 to this, until then.
My only request is that there's a small tag on player avatars, telling you whether they play DUST or EVE.

Also, Shinobi, artwork is finished, KAGE just posted some bad pics. I've seen the Gallente Heavy, for example, and if he wasn't the most intimidating mother f*cker on the planet, I don't know who is. The Gallente somehow always make themselves into badasses.
Also, the Minmatar Heavy, in the picture KAGE posted, is missing a hand. That's by design. The hand has nothing special on it, and the weapon that it's normally carrying (Mass Driver) would obstruct the view of the suit.

I really wish they would implement this. I'm a Caldari supporter, but because I used my first character (whose race I chose at random) for the forums, people are always confused when I talk about liking Caldari stuff.

Yes they do, they're clones of humans, therefore are humans with human faces. Whats up with all these assumptions about clones? I even remember 2 people saying closes don't have blood (which is silly). They''re genetic copies, not robots.
