I did check the skill requirements but the reason I asked is because my friend got the Allotek weapons pack and says that he can in fact use all the weapons without skills, Im wondering if this is then true for the dropsuits |

But why sell it in a Pack if you cant use em all, and why charge 100 bucks if you still have to skill into them anyway. waste of money no? I'm anxious to find out but not wanting to risk 100 bucks to do so |

Yep, similar to other AUR items, operational requirements in those weapons are needed to unlock access to adv. and proto weapon use. However, the "Pyrus" Prototype sniper rifle does not appear to be working as other AUR sniper rifle do despite having the exact properties of the AUR proto model. Rather than level three access opening use to this AUR model, you need level 5 skills. |

The Allotek packs are themed AUR items (unique skin) that come in 3 different packages. One contains all the weapons types in DUST 514, another has all to various dropsuit types, and a third pack is a hybrid of the first two where you get a combination of the weapon and dropsuits that are available in game.
While some of the AUR items are early access types with lower skill requirements, some have normal skill requirements such as the Pyrus prototype sniper rifle. The goal of the Allotek packs is offer a large selection of items for players to try out and not focused only on giving early access to high tier items.

That might be all fine and good but you realize NPE is terrible if there is not access to at least a militia version of each weapon. Which there currently is not.
And it looks very bad to tell someone who just downloaded the game and has yet to be sold on playing it, that they either need to spend permanent SP into Testing weapons, or pay cash to try them. |

To be honest i don't see the value in these packs. its essentially 50$ to purchase STD Aur gear, and some stuff you can't even use without the skills.
From a new players perspective it might seem awesome to want to shell out that money for the chance to try everything at least 75 times respectively. until they starts losing the equipment from pubstomps and simple lack of skill. Then they start to wonder why they purchased it.
From a vets perspective, the packs are utterly useless because we know its just a bunch of STD crap we can easily afford to skill into and buy with isk.
I just don't see what you were trying to accomplish with these new packs beyond fooling someone into buying them.

From a consumer perspective, I would have considered putting down money for BPO packs with a little variation on what already existed, but I will never - I repeat, NEVER - pay money for BPC's. This is what a lot of players have been explaining for some time.
You can only sell the same item with a different name and skin so many times before players stop caring, and let's be honest: there are a great many of these about. You have the Daemon and the Dren shotgun. The Toxin and the Syndicate SMG. The Exile and the Dren AR. The Blood Raider, Gurista, and Ishukone LAV's. All the same thing.
The EVE universe and it's corporations have such a rich history! I don't see why you're not exploiting that to its full potential, by having the stats of items change based on who produced them. We want more than just different skinned BPO's, we want something new, interesting, and niche for certain situations. Give us that and we'll pay up for the experience. |

Hey CCP want to make a shitload of money?
Do this:
make new merc packs.
New racial BPOs like unreleased suits or STD Amarr + Gal + appropriate weapon + AUR enough two 30 day boosters or include passive + active in pkg.
Do it now while BPO fit is popular.
AUR for boosters should actually be lower like a subscription would be.
If you made one of each race and it was shiny you could triple the money opposed to the disposable packs. Bring back skinweave and dfly scout pack.

Hi,
The "Pyrus" Assault GK.0 looks nearly identical to its ISK variant of the STD/ADV. It would be nice for it to look as unique as the "Pyrus" Assault CK.0 |
