If my lifetime SP were money saved under a mattress, then 1.4 just made my hard earned experience worth half as much as before by inflating noobs' skills with aim assist.
Being a vet with 20+ million skillpoints doesn't mean what it used to. I'm not happy with your noob love, CCP. I thought New Eden was a place that rewarded the hardest, most dedicated players. Instead, Dust has now become another FPS for dummies.

From my experience AA in chromo was better than the current. Hip fire was a cake walk in chromo, now you have to still work for it.
Basically all of this could have been avoided if aiming was left alone after chromo. |

20 mil ANYTHING shouldn't just say **** off to those with less.
Example of how it works well. EVE. I can take my Frigate and join a Merc Corp and harass Battleships, but in DUSt, what can a low SP character do beside die repeatedly with now avail?

20 million SP never said "**** off" to players who had skill. With even a modest amount of skill a well-managed 8-10 million SP has always been the sweet spot for the majority of the playerbase when it comes to being truly competitive in this game. After that your gains are far more marginal as you begin transitioning from essential core skills to window dressing skills that matter less. In other words, only the most noobish of noobs got left behind in this game, but it was something you could overcome with a bit of time and practice. Now, the game is way too easy for noobs with auto aim. As such it has diminished the hardwork and experience that vets have invested into their characters and it has taken a great deal of skill out of the game. I don't call this progress. |

Its only a 10% reduction of your base speed its really not that much. |

again, my sympathy is nonexistent. I've played the game since day one in a suit derided as worthless competitively, sucky strafe, easy to get hit in and generally the first one everyone focuses fire on.

Actually if CCP uses 1.4 as it's jump-off point and actually builds off the changes here with the 1.5 alterations to vehicles, AV and scouts then I'd say we're likely to be in a good place. So far 1.4 is not bad.
there needs to be a penalty for dualtanking.
But all in all compared to Uprising 1.0 we've got most of our chromosome **** back. Plus we got the bonus of hit detection that works. If 1.5 goes the way i think it will then we'll have more or less gone back to the point where the game is playable, and then they can add moar **** for us to play with instead of this homogenized crap where everyone is using the same weaponry and we are lacking in the racial variety and flavor that would make the battlefield truly dynamic. |
