At first i thought i was been paranoid .. or maybe it was that i wasn't aiming accurately.. or "something". But after experimenting with both the DS3 and the mouse... something is not right... is like the hit detection for the mouse is different than for the DS3.
With the DS3 every shot registers, i mean "every"single one... but with the mouse it doesn't ?
Can you investigate this CCP ? because something is definitely not right.

The mouse doesn't get aim assist. .. Even though it's emulating a similar analog pattern the DS3 uses and the DS3 gets aim assist... |

Actually... i don't think is the Aim-assist "specifically" ... i think i more to do with Raw Hit Detection . For some weird reason, the hit detection in the mouse is off, or at least is not as good as the DS3. |

CCP has always relied on their aim assists for hit detection. they don't understand they are two different entities hence why there has always been a problem with both.
Its sad. |

Nah, just watch some vids of people running controller. The shots basically seem to be curving mid air (invisibly of course) and hitting the target. As of now, running mouse and keyboard is a disadvantage. |

It's the same for the move too. Along with being way to sensitive The actually hit detection while using it seems unresponsive even on things like nanohive.
Maybe things that rapidly change x,y value don't update correctly on the game. |

Maybe.. I know what ya mean, I haven't used the DS3 in months and picked it up yesterday with an AR and Aim assist on and felt god like... Switched to my mouse and had to fight the sway to stay on target..
Not to sound egotistical (but to give some background) I've playeed competitive shooters with kb/m for 15yrs Dust KB/M hasn't been right since chromosome but feels worse this build especially compared to DS3.. |

Let me put it like this....
I am a kbm player who comes from using a PC. I might as well have two left thumbs when it comes to using a controller.
With the old 1.3 mechanics and kbm my kdr was hovering about 2.5.
New patch comes along, my kdr is around 0.75.
Picked up a controller for first time yesterday, and my kdr was.... 2.0
Something is wrong. My sense is mouse sensitivity between hip fire and ADS makes finding a balance difficult, and aiming with controller got much easier.
Muddying the waters a bit is both hit detection and auto aim got an update and it is tough to tell what's causing this.
I'm sure CCP will get it right, but it is not there yet....Lead |

I wan't say that the aiming with the mouse is terrible ... i actually managed to find my "sweet spot" to day, which is why i notice the hit detection problems... i been aiming as accurately as i normally will do in a PC game, but i had to hit targets considerably longer to kill them, about an extra .400 of a second to be precise ... and you may think that is not allot... but it is HUGE in gaming terms.
It actually felt a bit better before i stopped playing.... which is a bit weird... but i'm not complaining. |

I play w both simultaneously, and since update the mouse's been totally shot, for all intents and purposes it's useless.

I can confirm this
my superior lightning reflexes would kill me, because my hits are always TOO FAST even though my aim is dead on

I know this is off-topic, but I've seen Panther go this a lot recently, and it's getting more annoying every time it happens.
