If reviewers still have their accounts, then they must have a bunch of SP from May 14th and will probably enjoy the game more.
Not to mention 1.4 is really awesome. |

I doubt it....enjoyable as the new update might be I don't think
its gonna happen until at least the next expansion I.e 2.0 or when
we have all the racial suits and weapons...
That's if we actually ever make it there with all the pissing and
moaning that the community on here does... |

There are a lot that won't, but some will.
It'll be mostly the MMO-oriented sites that actually understand the concept of a constantly-evolving game which revisit DUST. But it's possible other sites may actually pick this one up since it's also a console FPS and therefore "mainstream" in a weird sort of way in spite of the lack of playerbase. |

Not just yet. I get the feeling that Dust is going to be relaunched in about 6 months with updated intro, and PVE & new player scenarios. Basic "finished game" polish that I think the game still lacks right now. Most reviewers have a hard time understanding something beyond the 30 minutes they spend playing a game before reviewing. |

I've only reviewed one game that I put less than 30 HOURS of playtime into, and that was a downloadable PSN title.
Not all reviewers avoid doing their jobs.

Why would they update their reviews? If you look at most of the rational problems reviewers pointed out, they are all still here.
The game seems to have changed a lot for us, but that is only because we crippled ourselves learning to play with the broken mechanics. |

This. CCP is just starting to get it right. I'd want to get another patch or two of awesomeness under my belt before calling up the reviewers and asking them to give DUST another whirl. |

Maybe not for a couple of years. I mean they just released a patch to fix things that are broken and there are still many things wrong with the game. |

I think they'll wait a week or two, or maybe until CCP finishes with the 1.4 quick-fixes.
My feeling is there are a lot of reviewers out there who are excited by DUST and wanted to give it a better review, but maintaining their credibility trumped that ofc.
Plus sometimes a little tuffluv is called for ;) |

Admittedly I don't honestly know how much time goes into reviewing games and apologize for being flippant there. I'm sure there is also a big difference between the different game blogs and press, along with the type of game. |

Would be better for a re-review after the small updates, such as vehicle rework ect. It should have gotten higher scores based on my experience from beta, But CCP broke the game then released it.
I do know other FPS games would have marketed the crap out of that new map releasing, as well as charging an arm and a leg for it. CCP released it like it was no big deal, with nothing more than a dev blog and some patch notes.

This game deserves all the bad reviews it gets, its appalling .. it had a very good concept but has been executed terribly and game reviewers will not accept a released game being in the state where it is going to need alot of patches before it's even at a playable standard, the player base is 4k for a reason ... this supposedly released game is still in BETA .. it never left BETA ... |
