Now I've got that out of my system, on to the actual topic of the thread.
Personally, I'd rather have NO new content, but the basic core mechanics working correctly. Especially if the alternative is the original aim assist that alternated between doing nothing and trying to lead your shots with hitscan weapons. Or a Breach AR that has a better scope and longer range than the current Tac AR as well as dealing more damage. Or free Militia tanks that require half a team of dedicated AV to take out. Or Missile Turrets with 5m instakill Heavies splash that can fire beyond draw distance and the missiles don't draw in when fired from that range so all your victims see is proof that Tim the Enchanter is real.
Once the core mechanics work properly and consistently, THEN it's time to focus properly on adding new content. The game has various teams working on different aspects of the game, so I'm pretty sure there are still people working on the new things we're going to be getting, but for now, that shouldn't be the top priority. |

I agree with that but this is a work in progress. Some things are going to slip by no matter what happens. They've been on the ball as far as I can tell and are working towards those goals. No MAJOR bugs. No glitches that are totally game-breaking for any particular playstyle.
But other than those two corrections, I think you have it pretty much right.
When they release new content, that's expected to take a while in order to become balanced. But unless everything already in the game is already balanced, that's just going to muddy the waters further with every new weapon, dropsuit, vehicle, or whatever. |
