CCP please introduce a cloak module in a future release i have thought long and hard about how a new dropsuit light class for covert ops could change the battle field
Imagine if you would a player cloaked placing a bomb on an objective only to be found by an active scanner or if skills are speced another direction.....snipers and anti armor taken out by a nova knife to the back or yet a true scout who cant attack yet gain wp by target painting for the long range units
The skill set up wouldnt be hard.....the rules of it easy to bring into balance of current system cloak would be a timed effect, per skill level a longer duration, sub skills would allow you to fire/use weapons faster after decloak, have greater effect with target painting and carry more powerful bombs , higher lvl mods would allow faster movement while cloaked.
Of course there would be built in counters so cloak wouldn be miss used such as bumping against enemy units drops cloak, cool down timers, active scanning, im sure there would be other ways to use and counter a stealth unit and cloaking is a great part of the eve universe |

They did mention cloaking equipment as well as a deployable shield in a dev blog a while back. Wonder what's up with that stuff. |
