What if aim assist was dialed down significantly in FW and PC matches? Pub matches are supposed to be more noob-friendly after-all. Also what if CCP gave a bonus to SP gain for users who play with it off (maybe +15%-+20%)? This would help with new player retention and reviewers (who tend to struggle with adapting to DUST's aiming system) but also reward players with better aim and give people a motivation to improve. Fights have been much less one-sided since 1.4 (when it's a full match), and I'm seeing a much larger variety of weapons, which is really great. Overall I like the changes, but I can see rewarding people who have worked hard at improving their aiming ability, especially in the higher-level content like FW and PC. |

As someone mentioned earlier, the effectiveness of the aim assist should be proportional to the size of your suit's frame or profile. |

How does this solve the problem? Heavies with HMGs aren't the ones people are complaining about, and scouts use shotties, knives and flaylocks, none of which buffing their aim assist will help (snipers don't get AA and the shotgun problems are unrelated and being addressed). Specifically, why is that suggestion better than what I've proposed? |

I'm surprised nobody else has any thoughts on this? |

What aim assist? Do you really think that there is any amount of friction with the aim assist on in comparison to off? Currently I am enjoying a bunch of QQ on the threads because shooting an AR now means killing people rather than watching them take no damage with a crosshair over their face. This is due to the fix of the hit detection issues we were all experiencing, not aim assist. If you put your crosshairs on someone does your merc turn to follow their movement or does he sit there with no magnetism at all when you watch your target move? Mine doesn't stick, checked this with it on and off. |

I don't really have any issue with it, but it seems many people do. I was thinking my suggestion was a reasonable compromise to keep the controls accessible to newer players, but also accommodate the more hardcore player's desire to keep the gun game more challenging in a way that doesn't turn away new players. Let's face it, we need new blood in DUST or the game will die, so things can't remain as they were before indefinitely. |

Tone down KB/M in PC and FW. Aslong as KB/M exists in this game there is no reason to change the aim assist, it is barely noticeable unless the opponent is standing still but when you both are strafing and shooting aim assist only helps slightly. |
