How is everybody finding them?
I have been using them pre 1.4 and I am loving them post 1.4 but I have noticed a few problems.
1. Tanks dont always seem to show up when I scan them, it says no margin of error but the tank 10m away is a solid red not pulsing, indicating it is not showing up on my scanner. 2. Doesn't always seem to be shared with the rest of the squad. Often it does and for an orbital this is an amazing tool but sometimes squad members complain they cant see what I have scanned.
Apart from that they are great the pulsing red chevron really allows me to drop MD's directly onto people in cover.
Also instead of making a new topic is anyone else struggling to see what blue dots need reps as well, seems especially prevalent if your holding your rep tool. If I aim in their general direction when they are near me using a weapon I can see their health and shields holding the rep tool I have to look directly at them and if I look away even if its just a few feet to the side of them I can no longer see the bar and cant tell when they are fully repped without keep checking them. |

I was wondering why reds pulsed when I was in a squad - someone used the active scanner! Thanks! Now I know (and knowing is half the battle - the other half is red lasers and blue lasers)! |

I went into proto active scanners out of curiosity and boredom after my optional respec. Most of my friends laughed for wasting the SP. Now I'm the designated point man and spotter for orbitals. |

I skilled into them yesterday (L3) I freakin love them.
It's the coolest thing I've used in Dust in over a year of playing.
When they incorporate some WP system for it it will be amazing. |

I'm liking the A-45 Quantum for the extended visibility but the Flux is worthwhile for long distance sweeping scans. Proto is kind of pointless right now since I doubt anyone is using dampeners yet. |

Right now I'm using the AUR proto version. But I will be going full proto ASAP. I want the one with more range.
It's so good that I'd consider fitting two of them to bypass the recharge time.
I am sort of an assault logi anyway. Having two scanners and an uplink would be pretty awesome. |

I think that the vehicle scanning is bugged, as it was that way before, and it probably shouldn't be. |

I've dropped the repair tool for an active scanner. It may not get me as many points, but when you know where the enemy is and they don't know where you are it can make all the difference.
It's great to scan objectives for uplinks or enemies and also great for watching over an objective. I also occasionally check my rear to see if we are getting trailed, it's a nasty surprise when the whole squad is waiting for them. |

It's the coolest thing I've used so far in Dust.
I'm honestly thinking of running 2 of them with uplinks.

mm mmm Duvolle Focused is a beast!
The problem is my scout , while yes has always lacked hit points - its speed has always been my way to stay alive.
Now any scrub with auto aim can pick me off at crazy ranges, and with super human tracking speed. |

Active Scanners being useful is the only thing I like about this entire update besides the new map. Needs to have some sort of WP incentive to actually use them though. As a Scout since everyone and their mom now has a personal aimbot assistant it is pretty much the only thing we can do. |

Every fit I have has an active scanner now (except the av fits), I don't even care it doesn't give wp right away, it gives them indirectly.
(+2 for kill or assist a few seconds after scannin would be fun tho) |
