I've said it before, and I'll say it again. MD's are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY to OP. I get lit up with a forge gun, swarm, charge sniper, whatever.
But a weapon this powerful should NOT be able to be fired that quickly. At least forges have to charge up. CCP should make the MD a single round clip. And cut the blast radius.
For the last two weekends, I haven't been able to find a single match without two or three guys just shelling the map with MD's. It's gone too far. For instance, if you manage to get the drop on them, what do they do? They just start shooting the ground, commit suicide, and take you with them. I know everyone gripes about every weapon, but this one is genuinely OP. If they're not going to fix the MD, the least they could do is put the flaylock back where it was so you can have a fighting chance against these guys.
1. Cut the radius
2. Delay the explosion (discussed in another thread)
3. Cut down the clip size by at least 2 rounds, preferably 3.
4. Cut the rate of fire in HALF. |

I work nights, and can only play on weekends. Sorry if I'm a little ill informed, not sorry the MD sucks now though. Haven't played 1.4 yet. |

The problem isnt the mass driver, the problem is that people arent willing to use skill to counter it. If its too much for your tiny duvolle to handle, find another gun. And, if you cant beat em, join em. |

But they aren't OP they do exactly what they are supposed to do. Area Denial at short and medium range, wide range AoE for effect, and perhaps even psychological somewhat.
However they will always be outclassed by Snipers, Lasers, and ScR at long range,
AR at CQC shortrange, HMG and SMG as well.
EDIT- Im just waiting for you to accuse my of using one.... if you haven't checked my corp or don't know anything about them...... |

Actually if anything the MD is being outclassed in its ideal situation now, I use to use the fact a miltia ar had three times the fire power, but now that ar hit detection is fixed, it becomes obvious how underpowered that makes the md, the only reason the md could compete was because the ar missed 30% shots to aiming and 30% to hit detection, now its left undeniably weak |

Have you considered going back to COD? EverQuest is another good option if your looking for a new free game... |
