Just a thought, according to so many on the forums aim assist leveled the playing field, whether you see that as a good thing or not. If militia has an easier time taking out proto then would it be a far less fiscally sound decision to run proto in pubs? Just a thought. Maybe now gear won't carry people as far as it did before. |

The Proto gear should be the strongest which it still is but it is still an FPS and shooting at the enemy enough should drop him in a reasonable amount of time now. Plus it keep bum rushing down abit with all those proto's and have more cover use. |

Wrong. now the gear will matter more, basically who ever's aimbot has more health will win.
However skill at evading enemies regardless of what suit is gone... the proto has more health so has fraction more time to get away?
It's a system that favor's people who don;t want t take the time to get aiming skill. An advanced geared squad with good skill vs a proto squad with mediocre skill... any previous build? now its..... shameful. |

Aim assist benefits all suits. So just as militia ARs are getting more kills, I've been getting killed even more by GEK ARs and above. Proto gear still wins, only now it's even more super powered. |

Honestly I do see the problem here. At first I sort of understood some complaints, but after getting in a bunch of proper matches in 1.4 I must say it is fine. I do not notice myself killing any better than before, nor getting killed more often than before. Simply put, it feels like I'm fighting the aim less, but everything else mostly the same.
Also I come from the PS3 game Warhawk which is evidence that you can remove aim all together and make it automatic and the game will still be fun, competitive, and skillful. Surely adding a little aim assist to Dust isn't such a bad thing, it'll only reduce frustrations IMO. |
