This thing is awful. I turn it off, because I like to be responsible for my kills. But I get mowed down by exiles in pubs with a 600+ eHP suit in under 2 seconds. Looks like hit detection is better, why add another crutch to the game?

I've seen lots of people argue for it, and I've seen others (mostly vets and players that I consider having some skill) argue against it. Why do you suppose that it?

I hear, "it makes ADS less of a chore". If you consider ADS a chore in a shooter, maybe you shoud find a different genre of videogames. Maybe some dance dance revolution is more your speed.

I never played eve, but you hear a lot of HTFU in this universe. From what I've learned this far in playing, the word "assist" isn't in the New Eden vocabulary.

I actually died more times in a pub match just now than I did in a PC battle earlier this afternoon, against solid players. I'm not a superstar but I can give most good players at least a run for their money. Now any jackalope can half ass their aiming reticle in my general direction and pop me before I can even turn around.

You can't have a AAA shooter that takes the skill out of shooting. If there's gonna be any kind of assist, how 'bout a goddamn camera assist so I can land my drop ship without breaking off the ass end of it on a building.

I had more fun getting spawned into a redberry circle jerk and insta-gibed in an old ambush map than I did playing at any point today, save PC. This game is built on The unreal engine, a great shooter. This is now a mockery of the engines namesake.

I'm now playing PC matches only until/if they fix this, and I'm gonna start pulling eggs out of the Dust 514 basket. Shoulda just listened to Mr Zitro and done long ago I guess.

But I'm a competitive person. I don't want an advantage and I don't want you to have one either. Seems the most fun you can have these days is to start a new toon and play in the academy. No fancy suits. No core locus. Just you and a sh*tty gun against other dudes with a sh*tty gun.

I get frustrated because we never seem to get it right. We've lost so many good players because we just can't get it right. How was this playtested and deemed "good to go"? I get that it's day one (of sorts), but we always seem to undershoot or overshoot wildly when we do anything around here.

I just want a damn decent shooter.
