Because it would interfere with their deadlines or at best make no positive difference.
Think about it, they're constantly working on a build. Maybe in China. For a month. It might not be playable at every moment after each addition and maybe they wrap it all up at the end.
To do testing they would not just need to have the server but to keep deploying functional builds with incomplete content on them, get feedback, re-work things, etc.
Or they could have their build finished, and instead of releasing it to the public on live servers, run it on tests for a week. Take even more time to get deployed, then once it went live they would still find new bugs
Live servers are their test platform. It's quicker for them and even if it comes with all the drama and damage it still translates into a quicker arrival at a more finished product as time goes on. |

When you are right with all you saying, it means CCP needs a new dev team. Its the first game i see with such buged patches. |

i don't know about a new dev team but i gotta ask if they have anyone testing this stuff or they just give it to us as is.

Sony won't allow CCP to have a test server. It would basically be a second game and Sony has their hand in everything, just like Microsoft. Frankly its unbelievable that they gave CCP as much control over this game as we currently have. Q/A is very fast and CCP is able to hotfix without making it a major patch. technical stuffs |
