So last night when I spent 2.5 hours in a Domination match because of the "Null Cannon Missing" issue, that was not a big deal? I suppose I could have left but I would also miss out on ISK and SP, so I slapped on free suits and suicide'd away.
This is a live game and some people are paying money to play it (Standard Free to Play Model). The resulting issues of poor testing before releasing a live patch results in people loosing their money.
In which case your statement "I have almost no problem" means you are having problems but you probably are not paying money for it.
What you should understand is that if people pay money for in game items and they loose them through a poor product they will be getting crap (And for good reason). Its the way of MMO's like this and its the chief reason people stop playing them along with lack of content and poor end game mechanics for higher level characters.

It is not "a simple patch"
It is "a series of failed patches over a long period of time that still doesnt fix many issues promised to fix and no fix can be expected anymore in any real timeframe"
Uprising 1.0 - lol 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4
all have been broken things more than fixing things
new issues new problems new imbalances etc etc
i mean
oh my god where do i even start

4000 people consistently is not "no one". Keep in mind - no one plays 24 hours a day. If you figure 2 hours of game play per day every day, you are looking at 48,000 players. I doubt every one plays 2 hours every day, so this would probably be a conservative number. |

Mmmm... I'm sure there's a dungeon in CCP basement where employees go on their break time to flagellate enchained baby pandas.
Yup! It's that kind of people.

Or... such people could decide NOT to use their Aur gear in bugged matches, thereby saving themselves from losing money? |

people seem to be throwing pretty big pissy fits over a game that is constantly improving, this thing has gone a long way since the beta version. |

I'm just shocked at the level of quality this patch delivered. It should not be so uneven, with some really good content to go along with rookie bugs.
CCP really needs to get real testers, maybe even go out of company if you need to, because whomever is leading that aspect of the project is failing horribly. It is offensive that the position from CCP is that they need to code lock for internal testing, but every patch is clearly undertested, to a very noticeable degree.
Things like the null cannon on Ashland, or the underground turrets on the new maps, would have shown up to anyone who was actually looking at what they were testing, and even a rank novice would have picked up that the Shotgun wasn't working if they had actually used one.
It reeks of understaffed product being pushed out. Which can only go on for so long before the customer base walks. I'm one more crappy day at dust away from biomassing my toons out of spite. The only thing preventing me from doing it is the hundreds of officer weapons that my friends might be able to use a couple of years from now when trading finally gets here.
1.4 was supposed to be a BIG DEAL type of patch. It isn't. Yes, it makes some noticeable changes. But it does not drastically improve the game. All of the same dynamics are still in play, and the technical flaws are glaring now. Not to mention the bugs, and in certain cases the backwards steps in balance and overall game design.
Is Dust better than 1.3? Probably. Is it enough to keep it relevant heading into the holiday season? Not in any sense. This game is already several years behind, and falling further and further back with each passing month. Trying to play catch up while putting out the fires from the fumbles of development is not how you make a success.
