I do not understand the reasons for the changes to match making, I assume when you said changes you mean to the UI, not to the way it works in its entirety.
To sooth my rather frazzled and confused mind can someone explain to me why the option to choose system, albeit the only systems we could choose were the ones presented to us by the contracts, were removed in favour of a system where we have no choice of which system to fight in, nor even knowing which system we are in until the battle begins?
This is something that I have been giving feed back of for some time. FW means nothing in Dust. We cannot deplex or secure specific systems for our corporations, and our efforts mean very little to the over war, which for the most part we cannot see.
Additionally I do not think I can easily call upon my corp mates to drop orbital strikes for us because the match timer does not allow us to feed our EVE pilots information before the match begins.
I know CCP Foxfour said he was working on FW or some such is anything being done about this? Or am I simply just ignorant and missing something. |

Not being able to chose the system to fight in annoys me too, even though this is barely relevant at the moment. But it will be in the future, when they remove NPC orbitals.
Maybe it should queue first and then show you 3 or 4 battles. Then you can chose in which you want to fight. Also some priorities would be nice. For example I want to fight for Amarr and Caldari. I can chose that. Ok. But I would prefer to fight for Amarr and would only like to fight for Caldari if there are no Amarr battles available at all. Its not about there being battles, that's not the point of FW. There are always pub matches, because in all honesty if you have no stake in FW then you shouldn't be in there, there are almost too many unsquaded and unskilled players in there anyway.
Its about doing something to help your faction. If I could suggest one thing to FW I would suggest that we force players to sign up to one factions FW contracts, either on a corp level or individual level, which only allows for them to fight for either the Caldari/ Amarr or Gallente/ Minmatar. |
