As the topic: So, Since CCP didnt want feedback before the patch.. Hows the Swarmlauncher?
Mathhammerwise is still gained ~50% more dps on what was already basically the best av in the game, how does it actually play now? Are you guys enjoying getting 3 volleys off in under 4 seconds?
How about you tankers? I know no force on earth could make me drop my own tanks into play right now. How about you guys?

I know why they did it. They now have to stand in Los all the time they are firing. Buff is too big but I see what they are trying to do. Shame the that with DS they couldn't hit and run it anyways so it is a direct buff and only a buff against the vehicle in the worst position already. |

Bacon post! Hell I'm all for the likes!
But as a fellow tanker, well former tanker as of downtime today. I feel that specing into swarms for the newbies dropping in tanks is going to be great. I mean a 50% buff, and a faster then an AR drop of it's clip! Who wouldn't love those odds!
Seriously, I said it before the patch, and I'm saying it again. Screw you CCP. Sincerely, all tankers with half a brain. |

Reading over your edits...Who the hell has a tank that can survive 3 volleys of Proto SL? The highest I have seen any Madruger armor right now is about 8500 armor, with roughly 1200ish shield. Proto swarm can do roughly 3500-4000 damage per volley. So that is 2 survivable, 3 dead. And only the top tankers will around 9m Sp in TANKING ALONE, can have a tank that comes close to this. My tank, with around 3m Sp give or take, invested has around 6500 armor and 1250 shield. I can barely survive 2 volley's of proto sl. And that's only if, and anyone here knows, that's a BIG IF, my repper kicks in and actually starts the repair process.
And let's say you do have one of the beast mode madrugers, the reload on the Swarm is so ridiculous now that you won't have time to run and hide while your repper tries to start even though it;s making a lot of racket. And if they are on a building with a 360 view of the battlefield, you lose your 1.7m isk tank in less then 5 seconds.
I can't wait to spec up to Proto swarm.... |
