Add this with the perfect accuracy of an AR when aiming and you have a broken game. My friends are also telling me that ARs also have an increased optimal range? Why are these things not in the patch notes?! Why have them if you are only selectively putting things in? |

CCP Cmdr Wang wrote:BARDAS wrote:What are these patch notes that people speak of? Do you by chance mean the arcane scribble that magically appears 24 hours before a change takes place thus preventing any meaningful feedback from the community which could potentially prevent problems before they occur? If so yeah I may have heard about those once a while back. Its a shame we don't see them sooner for the aforementioned reason. How are you going to give us meaningful feedback before you even try the changes? Or is your brain so awesome that you can look into the future? And while we are on the subject of feedback, guys, a few one liners and a catch word here and there really doesn't help. If you really care about improving the game, then please structure your feedback in a way that will: 1. List specific issues and the circumstance when it happened. We then put these in a weekly report and discuss them with the dev team on ways to address this. 2. Provide insight on why you think this is happening, if you can. Translation, explain as best as you can on how to reproduce the error/bug you encountered. The patch notes are there to let players know what changes are coming so they can plan their gameplay accordingly, not so that people can theory craft before hand on how things will work before they actually try it. |

Honestly I think the aim assist is fine. It does feel like its given people some god-like aim, but thats because we've been playing without it for months, and without the insane straff speed it is also easier to track people so you will die quicker.
I will say the swarms are really ****** up. |

There is no magnetism, therefore it is not anything that could be called an aimbot. Sensitivity is slightly lower when on target, allowing for finer aiming control. It is nothing like the B02 or Halo 4 assist where your aim would follow targets without stick input, this is because there is NO MAGNETISM! Please cry more. |

I'm sure this thread will get buried under another ten 'aimbot' threads - but is the effect of aim assist not just being amplified by lower strafe speeds? If there is no magnetism then... |

If you don't notice any aim assist you more than likely has it turned OFF. Go to options and turn it on.
I seriously don't know how people can not notice it. It resembles an aimbot more than anything. |

See this is weird you say it doesn't follow without input and I have seen others say it doesn't but I have seen others say it does so I tested it, Stood looking at a wall (not ADSing) reddot ran past me and my hip fire crosshairs tracked them for a short while. |

A voice of reason in a flood of tears. I'm both happy and saddened at the sight of your post. Happy because you are obviously an intelligent human being. Sad because you may succeed in reducing the amount of delicious tears.
In all seriousness though, I think after the initial shock of having responsive aiming is gone, you will see the player base largely accepting of the aim assist. Except for the KB/M players of course. They will continue to nash their teeth at CCP. |

It may be a little strong but it isn't godlike. There were really good players who had really good aim with the old system and it simply carried over to the new. |

Go back to your KB/M crutch, leave us DS3 players alone. You already received an unbalanced buff with mouse cap removed. Aim assist is the only thing we have to be able to compete with you KB/M users but you still have the advantage.

With aim assist OFF, this is true.
About 40% of the time for me, with aim assist on, this is true.
The other 60% of the time, you're painfully wrong. I wish you weren't.
There is an auto-aim that guides the controller for you. It doesn't work consistently, but when it does work, it does ALL the work for you. |

I'll do more testing, but I have yet to have my crossair move without input from myself, while enemies have ran back and forth across it. Admittedly testing has been hard when half my matches have no opponents and I am flying my derpship around lol. |
