The selection is used in 2 ways, we first build groups of players who have similar preferences of game mode, region and ranking. The second step is to use everyone's preferences to perform a vote on which mode to play. We will be tuning how effectively this works over the coming days so you should see some improvement in how often you get your selected modes.

For real CCP when are you going to hire new leadership on this project if this is true... You would never do something this underhanded in eve online and I played that game for 9 years... |

1. List specific issues and the circumstance when it happened. We then put these in a weekly report and discuss them with the dev team on ways to address this.
2. Provide insight on why you think this is happening, if you can. Translation, explain as best as you can on how to reproduce the error/bug you encountered.
The patch notes are there to let players know what changes are coming so they can plan their gameplay accordingly, not so that people can theory craft before hand on how things will work before they actually try it.
Dont worry they would have ignored you if you did. |

I guess after the overwhelming popularity of not getting to pick between Ambush and OMS they went ahead and decided to make game modes a completely random event...... |

It should tell you in the battle finder before you deploy what type of match you will be going into and then you can hit circle to cancel deployment.

Our CPM probably gave them this bright idea and told CCP this is what the community really wants.

While I agree that at the very least we should be told what kinda of game mode we are going into, I do not agree with being forced into game modes that I hate.
Not only that but now you are getting complete cluster fcked matchmaking because everyone is just leaving games they do not want to play. |

I agree that you should not be forced into playing game modes that you hate. They should have given us the details on this terribad new match making system so we could have given them feed back earlier. I have no interest in playing ambush. Maybe I should start AFKing in FW since they did not fix that. |

Just so you guys know, seaching for Ambush is more likelt to find a Skirmish match, and vice versa.
They're backwards.
If you're preferentially searching for one of those modes, try searching for the wrong one. It will help. |

And it's partly due to the devs CHOOSING to make it not work consistently in the name of faster matchmaking. |

Unfortunately its a known issue, but just because you remove a match type from what you are searching for does not mean you will not get into that type of match. In fact it has been suggested that removing that match type from the list actually makes that match type more common (as it removes a different match type). |

Unfortunately in the meantime there's still a lot we aren't shown. |

CPM - Please have a discussion with the DEV team to remind them of this. I think they have lost sight somewhere along the way. Remember war dialer you cann give feed back on something before you try it. So why would they tell the CPM or us how it works before we have a chance to try it?

I agree Orca, but we are supposed to learn from our mistakes. I was hoping the CPM would use this as ammunition to remind CCP of this.
