I haven't gotten a chance to play 1.4 yet, so I've been checking out what the community thinks of it. So far, reviews are pretty tough. I know CCP was excited about this, and so was I, but in order for fixes to be made, they need to be presented in an organized manner.
So here's how it'll work. Read through the replies. If you agree with something, like the reply. If what you don't like isn't in the thread, reply yourself. I'll try to update the main post throughout the day to show the needed fixes in order of priority.

The new maps and outpost are awesome, however the matchmaking and aim assist is a bit too much. But that's just my opinion. |

Can we PLEASE stay away from hyperbolic language!!!! Only say exactly what you think is wrong.
"Everything else is ****!" for example really helps nobody. And if it gets a 'like' vote, those likes really aren't for a constructive idea. |

Shotguns are wonky in a strange way.
Sometimes well-aimed shots fail to connect, or hit for tiny amounts of damage at point-blank on a stationary target, other times you kill with what you'd expect to be a minor damage hit on the edge of your spread. |

A corp mate described similar frustrations. Something is off about shotguns. But he is VERY excited about the radar changes that let his scout suit be more sneaky so thumbs up on that front.

OK, there's a lot of good in the new patch. The new maps are amazing.
However, I'm one of the people that really doesn't like Ambush. Yesterday, I queue for dom, I get a match in under a minute. Today I queue, I wait roughly 6 minutes at any given time, and then get stuck in an ambush. Now, as far as I can tell, this change was to try and stop the pub stomping that was going on. I'm not a particularly high sp character, being around 4.8 mill at the moment. However, I seemed to be able to do ok in matches. If the issue is with the people sub 2 mill getting repeatedly killed, then the answer lies in extending the academy period, with an option to come out of it if you want, not in changing to what seems to be a mildly broken system to match players. In addition, myself and a few corp mates are also noticing that once you've had your 6 min+ queue to get stuck in a match type you didn't want to play, you're finding very unbalanced teams. ie 3 vs 8, 6 vs 15, 4 vs 15. These numbers are not made up, this is what we experienced.
Also, the noise when you get hit. Bit annoying, but that's maybe just me. |

1the equipment glitch when hopping in and out of lavs happens more often now and is very disrupting.
2 also dmg for av vs vehicles seems to be buffed i had a stray rocket i hit k'o enemy tank i was shocked not a full volley mind u 1 350 dmg rocket
3 frame rate seems allot more laggy
4 the matchmaking is slower and you dont get pulled in with your squads even a quarter of the time
5 also on the new maps their are several rdv areas that the rdvs need to be reprogrammed to deploy differently or something several places they will place you vehicle far away or on top of things on the newer maps

Agree regarding the shotgun. Quit odd. Other than that, everything I have found to be good although ARs shred 1300+ hp quicker than before. Or so it seems. |

Bit annoying, but that's maybe just me. i agree they should have just extender the battle academy graduation to a graduation based on sp achieved i want blue dots to leave the academy with a fully sppecced adv suit and 1 proto weapon so 5 mill sp. i mean i have 21 mill sp and both proto av so now i go to search for battle and it takes 10 minutes to get into a match and when i do its not what i want and its a pub stomp we lose i gen drive around afking |

- Aim Assist is too strong.
- Shotgun hit detection still off. Very hit or miss regardless of where you actually hit.
- RDV deployment issues on new map.

In addition, twice today now when trying to join a match, the system stops looking, yet my chat channels show me in a team consisting of myself and no one else, yet I can hear other folk in voice chat. |

As for what's wrong with it:
ADS sensitivity is 2x as fast as turning regularly (M/KB)
Match making -sometimes puts you in team but not game. Have to relog to fix otherwise you can't join games.
-it'll just keep searchin for 10 minutes with no results
-team balance is horrible. 2 games where it was me + some vs 6-8 people. No games with more than 10 people on each side either.
Other than the states above, I'm loving this update. |

I played 3 battles and I love it! Next time I'll turn aim assist on and try laser. Tight battles so balance is ok. And new maps! Can't wait SP reset tomorrow! |

i think deployment issues are on new maps.. my squad loads fine into old ones but new maps always drop someone from the game, causing people to have to log off/on to fix |

A DS pilot in my corp dislikes how CCP changed the viewing angles
Unbalanced teams 6vs0 15vs1 12vs6
Joining matches takes generally takes at least 2 minutes
Joining an ambush match when entering skirmish as your option
Hit detection put 10 blaster rounds into a heavy from close range did not do any damage |

Totally, as well as the broken domination map, and the even worse hit detection with the shotgun. I find if you aim to the sides of enemies with shotguns you hit more often. |
