It is not impossible for me to survive high DPS automatic weapons.
I just had my first match and I've been using a militia heavy frame with scrambler pistols for a few weeks not and my K/D ratio per match had gone WAY UP since, but after my first match, it is clear that that I actually should have horrible K/Dr, because I got dropped like a gallon of milk EXTREMELY fast now.
What killed me? ARs and Submachine guns. I littlerally couldn't fight back with scrambler pistols because of the slow rate of fire that negated the damage output.
I know the scramblers function best and they work the same as they did before, but since hit dection has been improved, I don't have enough time to land my critical shots because the automatic weapons shred me to pieces.
This makes it very clear that either High ROF Auto weapons are too strong, Dropsuits are too weak, and or Scrambler pistols are now a death wish to use.
I even pulled out a standard AR suit and killed a guy who almost ZERO EFFORT. I literally Sprayed and just passed my crosshair over him three times in a panic. It was stupid!
Yes I am (Q_Q' )-ing and it was only one match, but it was UNMISTAKABLLY noticable.
Don't believe me? Go try for yourselves.
TLDR because you may have ADHD: Hit detection shows true OPness of High ROF auto weapons, suits need defense buffing, and my play style is ruined! |

Hmm SCrambler pistol is a sidearm at first and secondly aiming for the head should grant you fast kills due to the big headshot bonus... |

Oh man... I'm scared for my dual pistol fitting.
Considering I run TY-5 Breaches, I assume matters will be a lot worse for me than for someone who uses an assault variant. Nonetheless, if what you say is true:

Well if they fixed both hit detection and they added the strong aim assist then it will take time for people to rework their playstyle..sounds like charging a large group of people because they cant aim wont work anymore if the aim assist will aim for them. |

Cody and Korvin.
Yes I know it's a sidearm. I've been using them for months as my main weapons. I'm the best SP user in Dust (at least the most frequent user of them) and I've consistantly done ambush matches finishing in the top five players, using just SPs almost exclusively.
BUT, the weapon isn't the and wasn't the problem. It was the bad hit dection that kept me alive long enough to get a lot of those kills, which means I'm much weaker than the game was letting me believe. It's just been corrected to make it obvious, now.
That's what I'm saying. I will try more battles. |

I think you should try it. With a breach? You better have amazing mouse pointer skills, because otherwise you're screwed for the most part.

I will play more matches to see if this is consistant.

No dude, the hit detection is really bad this build right now, its not that that the weapons are any better, its just that single shot weapons like the one your using is much worse right now. |

I don't want to be a **** but it comes naturally for me - if you finishing just in the top 5 it could be that there are better people than you. Sorry. |

You might be the best pistol user left that plays consistently but there are two players 1 who doesnt play anymore and another who plays on occasion that are better pistolers. |

I'm honestly not sure what you're talking about. i didn't say I'm a better play than others. I'm saying I was consistantly in the top five in ambush matches, using Scrambler Pistols almost exclusively. Trust me, if there is anyone out there that get better scores with just pistols than me, I'd like to see them because I've NEVER seen it.
But this is off topic.
I'm trying to get into a new match, but it's proving to be a challenge. |
