for those who dont know why let me explain

before you hit cap the first 3k SP you earn in a match is doubled

anything over 3k however is not.

so in order to maximise your SP gains for the event you have to earn LESS than 3k SP per game.


this is incredably hard to do without AFKing

its nearly impossable in scrim and DOM



so basically in oder to get your 2x SP you have to be AFK to ensure you dont gain more than 3000 SP in a single game.

let me just explain something to the "omg you cant afk anymore CCP fixed it crowd"

they put in an IDLE TIMER

PVP action is ambiguous, this could be something as simple as pulling the trigger, at wich point setting yoru trigger to a timer and standing on an ammo hive will alow you to be AFK

or maybe it will be something as simple as a jump macro.


you cant prevent people from being AFK, we will just write some simple scripts and macros and upload them to a mouse/nostromo/programmable keyboard/programable controller


and now it seems that only people who can do this will be able to get teh full double SP from the event


they are rewarding people who can beat the anti AFK measures

If base SP earned from a match is 1000, then you get 1000 +1000 (bonus)=2000SP (you get the bonus 1000 SP after the event)

If base SP earned from a match is 3000, then you can get 3000 +3000 (bonus)=6000SP (you get the bonus 3000 SP after the event)

If base SP earned from a match is from 3001 to 5000, then you can get 3001 to 5000 +3000 (bonus SP)= 6001 to 8000SP (you get the bonus 3000 SP after the event).

If base SP earned from a match is 1000, then you get 1000 +1000 (bonus)=2000SP (you get the bonus 1000 SP after the event)

If base SP earned from a match is 3000, then you can get 3000 +3000 (bonus)=6000SP (you get the bonus 3000 SP after the event)

So how does going under maximize anything? If go 3001 and you go 2999 then you get 5998, where as I will get 6001.

you get 6001 but that 1 isnt doubled, meaning you lose 1 SP that you can never earn back

if you earn 3500 sp every game you only get 3000 bonus, meaning you lose 500SP every game that you can no longer earn elsewhere

Eaither way I never go over 3000 in a single round. The only people who do are the ones that protostomp and AR stomp. So if anything this event prevents AR + proto stomping.

What is with the constant determination you guys have to sabotage this game ?.. you talk about how people is ruin the game in the Forums.. but you doing a pretty good job yourself in the "actual" game.

Pubstomping ... to force CCP to fix Planetary Conquest.

I'd like to see the idle timer increased to 5 minutes. Sometimes we start a match and something comes up, got let the dogs in, baby is crying, gotta ****... and the list goes on. Its unfortunate that it has come to this. I just want nice things... damn blue berries

frankly, dont care if your baby is crying, your still being useless and should be kicked

your life circumstances are irrelevant to the team's win

Don't forget, CCP says don't play until Friday after shutdown or you don't get the bonus.
Then play a gazillion Ambush matches until you cap out inside three days.


You don't have to be AFK to keep your score down, just don't hack anything or kill anyone.
You can just run free suits so dying doesn't matter. It's also a good chance to see how well the scanning changes allow you to hide on an ambush match.

this coming from the guy who got all salty over our debate about cheating... effing hypocrite....and before you say afking isn't cheating, breaking game mechanics is in your description of it when I said the melee glitch was a cheap move and poor sportsmanship but not cheating, and you got all huffy and puffy at me....apparently by your own definition youre a cheater...

How about just playing the game for fun and not worry about the SP!!! Team work and tactics would beat SP any day. I have seen people dominate with just level 1 gear.
