So far, still the only good thing I see coming with 1.5 is not needing to fit small turrets on tanks. |

I'm so glad they're fixing the glitch whereby you cannot spawn for one reason or the other.
Sometimes I have to wait I'd estimate 16 seconds to spawn and sometimes I just have to cancel deployment. I'm glad they're listening.
Also Sp4kr I almost took out your tank in that game, probably Domination, the one with the bridge, I'm not good with maps.
I just came up behind you but only had standard AV grenades so no luck there, watch out next time though you were just out in the open ;) |

Anybody who has to go as far as putting a rubber band on their controller knows deep down inside that they pitiful no matter how many skill points they amass. |

No, you didn't almost take out my tank, because surprisingly I didn't drop below half armor until after I had crossed the bridge. |

True. What's pitiful is that the only reason I thought of it was because the very first time an AFK fix was mentioned on these forums the very first response was mentioning the rubber band. (maybe).

I'm sure on one attempt you were one AV grenade away from death although I don't know what the damage is relative to your armour so you may be right! Maybe the time I'm talking about was at A because there was 2 times I attempted.
EDT: now that I think of it, the first time was before the bridge and I only got 2 nades on you, the 2nd time was the bridge where I got three off, shot three loads at you. |

I recall the same thing. However if the information in CCP Logi Bro's post is to be believed it says "combat action." Which sounds like receiving/dealing/healing. Those are all metrics that are at least temporarily stored during battle. |

I don't know if there ever was an in-depth explanation about what actions were needed to do so you wouldn't be kicked out of a match but if i were CCP i'd make sprinting a big factor in determining who is or isn't playing.
Only a fool would go a whole match without sprinting once and if they were really playing and just hated sprinting to the point of not using it once, their other actions in the game would keep the auto-kick from happening. But if they are to make walking an action needed to not be kicked, someone truly stupid might think of going as low as strapping a rubber band on their controller.
But a contraption that presses on your L3 stick on regular intervals? Much harder. So, i really hope CCP made sprinting a huge factor. |

I don't know where it is, but they posted the criteria last week I think and for infantry it's as simple as either shooting or moving. |

AFK detection: - You get a warning at 90s and kicked at 180s of inactivity; these values may be tuned down the road - Infantry activity: move OR fire - Vehicle activity: move OR fire - Non-driver turret activity (includes installations): pitch/yaw OR fire - Passive vehicle seat activity: counts as active whenever drive is active
Like I said, i really hope that by "move" they actually mean "sprint".

Honestly, if someone needs a turbo controller + rubber band for SP, just let them have it. They clearly have issues to sort out that only free sp can solve. I would imagine the time limit would also include being inside the MCC. You're not doing any PVP action from there after all. Behind the redline in general is another story but at least you can be vulnerable to snipers that see some dude running and shooting in circles. |

Seems to me a change in movement would be better than just having moved... so as a sniper, if you aim, then stop, then aim again, you are active -- as opposed to spinning in circles with a rubber band. |
