What follows is a list of the types of fits I have used in battle. These are proven, solid fits. Be warned, though, a Madrudger is not to be faced head on. They outclass a gunnlogi in every aspect, you will not beat one head on as equals.
What you do is peck at your prey from the distance. You must take them by surprise, and only attempt to take them head on when they are weak.
Though a Gunnlogi does have one slightly awesome advantage over Maddies.
Explosive Resistant
As in anti-vehicle (AV) weapons that deal damage explosively. Swarms, AV grenades, Missile turrets. These do far less damage to your shields. In turn these types of weapons do extra damage against Maddies(armor tanks).
So Gunnlogi takes less damage from swarms, Madrudger takes more damage from swarms.
Anti-Vehicle Railgun (High Mitigation Fit)
High Slots (Left Side) Heavy Azeotropic Ward Shield Extender
Ward Shield Amplifier
Ward Shield Amplifier
Heavy Converse Shield Boster
Active Heatsink II
Low Slots (Right Side) Local Powergrid Expansion Unit
Local Powergrid Expansion Unit
Turret Slots 80GJ Particle Cannon
Proto Missiles for Riders
This fit is built to take some damage. As such you can move it closer to the engagement zone and use it to hit infantry and other vehicles. When faced with other tanks, you can use the terrain and features such as buildings to block line of sight not to mention your high survivability to simply out tank the other tank. Generally, you want this tank sitting on the objectives closest your side of the map, pushing up and retreating as necessary. Since it is fit with a rail, It would be advised to avoid enclosed areas, they are good places to get boxed in and a rail is very ineffective close range. This is a good mid - long range tank, that can really take a beating.
Anti-Vehicle Railgun (Low mitigation fit) aka Glass Cannon
High Slots Heavy Supplemental Shield Extender
Ward Shield Amplifier
Ward Shield Amplifier
Light Clarity Ward Shield Booster
Active Heatsink II
Low Slots High Throughput Field Stabilizer II (Damage mod)
High Throughput Field Stabilizer II (Damage mod)
Turret Slots 80GJ Compressed Particle Cannon
Standard Frag Missiles for riders
This setup here cannot take very many hits. At all. But the huge damage output makes it good for sniping other tanks down. Generally you will want to keep this tank at a high elevation, close enough to cover most of your side of the field but keep a bit of cover you can retreat to. This is a type of tank that provides long range support, never bring it into the thick of things.
Anti-Infantry Blasters
High slots Heavy Supplemental Shield Extender
Ward Shield Amplifier
Ward Shield Amplifier
Heavy Converse Shield Booster
Fusion Accelerator (Speed booster, speed is key to gunnlogi success)
Low slots Local Powergrid Expansion Unit
Local Powergrid Expansion Unit
Turrets slots Advanced Blaster for my large(Usually Scattered Blasters)
Advanced frag missiles and proto blaster for riders
Blaster are awesome at killing infantry, everyone loves running a blaster. Though on a shield tank, you won't be able to fit your best mitigation modules. Meaning you aren't as tough as you could be. That's where a speed boost is handy for getting in and out of hot situation relatively fast. Aim for headshots, and never try to take on a maddy with blasters. This I call Suicide.
I'll finish up later with missile fits, gotta play some games for the moment. |
