Nope, that Caldari design is no longer the one they're using.
This is the new design showed at FanFest 2013.

Problem is that that model was designed back when Fighters were two-seaters that had a "hover mode" that would deploy a turret from the bottom for the gunner to use.
That would mean that anytime the aircraft was not in that hovermode, the gunner would be more useless than the passenger of an LAV. Not exactly a good design.
Besides, now we can have Fighters that fly like proper jet aircraft, rather than ones that try to be half jet and half helicopter. |

That's what it looks like. It also looks as if they'll keep their VTOL functionality, but only for just that: taking off and landing.
Recall that one of the Devs hinted a while ago that we don't have them now because their speed would have them just hitting the redline over and over without being able to do anything. |

Yeah, I can't wait to be able to do that.
Even better, it had a camera view and HUD that weren't tiny and dumb, like the ones we have for Dropships right now.
Aircraft need the maximum amount of visibility possible. |
