You fail and your logic fails just as much as CCP has failed with this sad little lobby shooter.
You are nothing more than a scared little fanboy.
Good luck with your lobby MMO RPG F2P FPS after September 17th. |

Everyone keeps on saying these games will kill Dust and it has yet to be true.
The fact is that most people play these games, beat them, mess around with their multiplayer feature a bit, then leave it. Dust wasn't made to follow that model, its not meant to replace AAA titles. Its what you play in between AAA title launches. |

Two different target audiences, granted with some overlap. I personally couldn't care less about GTAV. Nothing really has to be done, whatever overlap there is will play GTAV for awhile but it will eventually run its course while in the meantime Dust continues to grow and expand. |

Watch Dogs is what I'm interested in. watch dogs looks good on paper but then again its ubisoft , they make buggy games and they dont learn , assassin creed is a perfect example , 3 games yet same problems Exactly this, every single time Ubisoft makes a game they pour so much effort into making it look amazing before launch, and then every time it's out it turns out to basically have the same mechanics as games in the past that they have done. Watchdogs looks good, but it doesn't look like the replay value will be that great once you're done with it, since it's all just can-did "hacking techniques" that you use, that in reality will begin to get old and boring after a few months. GTA? That game won't get old after the 3rd year. |

I was more so describing the game itself and its features.
As to your concern though, we are experiencing player growth. Look at the number pre-Uprising and post-Uprising. All these mini-updates in between aren't really aimed at bringing in new players. Wait until the next major named update in the Winter and lets see how that affects things before making any definitive claims. |

Oh Yeah I forgot how in a extremely successful game series, if one of the games ends up a dissapointment, that the future titles are destined to have the same fate. *rolling eyes*
Anyway. Has nothing to do with how or if Dust 514 can compete with it. It simply won't try. |

Actually, if you watched the GTA: Online reveal video, it's pretty clear that Rockstar is intending for GTAO to be their first long term MMO, that (like Dust) will start off small and then expand over time, into the next generation systems.
GTA: Online could VERY much have a MUCH bigger player base than Dust, if R* plays their cards right.
They already have the popularity.

I think by now we're starting to figure out the DUST will be exceedingly hard to kill. Because the game is unique and has it own freakin' living universe(which we po' mercs only catch glimpses of with out faces pressed up against the EVE plate glass window), DUST has the staying power to take an absolute pounding and still come out of it relatively intact.
On the other hand, CCP/DUST would be a fool to try and go mano-a-mano with Rockstar/GTA V.
But when the round one bell rings, DUST will still be standing. And still getting its feet working right, and it's range dialed in.
Once(and if) that happens, and the connections to New Eden open up, DUST will go from being wailed on to being hard to land a glove on. |

I've got tons of respect for Rockstar, but here's the question? Do they have what it takes to build a universe?
Maybe they do. We'll know in ten years. |

They could have ...... I don't know .... released a finished game . They could have had a real open beta to work out all these bugs and Op weapons ..... (5000 people for beta and 5000 people playing now when it's "live" I guess they were dead on )
If your already talking about how to counter a game, you know in your heart that this one is lacking . This game isn't on the level of GTA or and AAA game . NBA players don't worry about what NCAA players are doing... Why? Cause they're where the NCAA guys want to be .
But CCP was smart in a way . Taking the fanbois money before launch during beta , So now these guys feel invested and have to stick around or they'll feel stupid or like they spent money on a glorified beta . ( Which they did)
So now the only thing left is for them to fight for their wasted money , Defending this lackluster fail of a shooter. Right up til they shut down the server to which they will then blame other players and maybe CCP..... but I doubt it.
Hang onto those promises boys , whatever makes you feel better .
"Derp this game noones heard about is better than one of the biggest selling games series of all time "
If you believe that... it show how truly delusional you are .

and exactly how many of those post uprising folks remained? that's right, most of the got frustrated and left. after the uprising official release date when the game was now no longer a beta, the game jumped to 9k, then quickly fell off losing about half that number in no time flat. I want to see the game succeed, but you are kidding yourself if you think the game is in a current healthy state.
