So i've heard a fair few times recently , while discussing my specializing into sentinels, that i should wait on proceeding into amarr heavy fittings because new suits such as gallente heavys will soon be coming. Now i have already spec'd into amarrr heavys enough to warrant not turning back , but im just wondering how everyone thinks these new suits will shape up? I personally am still quite new to Dust, even newer to the forums , but I'm very much liking the directions this game is taking.as such I plan to be here a while , so i thought I'd start with this,so if i seem naive please bear with me here. |

Well it depends on your patience. If you are willing to wait two or three months to skill into the new suits ok but I would recommend to spec into anything you enjoy to play right now and have fun until the new suits hit the ground (as no one knows when this will be the case).
Regarding the new (heavy) suits the gallente one will be more focused on armor I guess it will be similar to the old (chromosome T1 Suit). If CCP follows its principle the Caldari one will most likely mirror the Gallente suit in terms of shield and armor values wheras the Minni Heavy will be slighly faster with less eHP. But these are only wild guesses :) |

The racial heavies will mirror there medium counterparts, just you know heavier (more health bigger weapons slower speeds) |

mmm , fair enough.. My preference is plated armor and HMG. i dont care too much about movement speed as such. so it kinda sounds like amarr isnt a bad choice anyhow. I'll just have to deal with minnis in their flashy new suits while i waddle along in my dusty old amarr.ah well , and old tank is still a tank :D |

It'll be interesting to see the racial bonus differnces. I know people who use light weapons with heavy suits. Witht he amar, the racial bonuses are completely wasted on a light weapon. If the new heavy suits have different bonuses, some of them might be better choices for light weapon heavy suit fits.

As long as you didn't go past Advanced Amarr Sentinel I wouldn't really say you've gone to far to warrant not turning back. In the long run the points required to go from Level 1-3 are small compared to Level 1-5.
Though hopefully CCP will simply offer a respec once all the core content is released. |
