So starting about 2 weeks ago I have been experiencing repeated hard freezes. They mostly happen while waiting for a battle to start while waiting on the warbarge however it has happened while in the MQ. During the hard freezes the screen will freeze, I willl still be able to hear game sounds and can still voice chat with my squad, pressing or holding down the PS button does nothing, also when turning off the system it sits for awhile with the green light flashing and then emits a double beep before shutting down. The time it takes for the game to freeze varies greatly, some days it will freeze after 1-2 matches, others I can play for 2 hours before it freezes. Being in a squad seems to increase the chances of a freeze.
I am using a 2nd gen PS3 (the first slim design) I installed a new 500Gb hard drive about 9 months ago. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the client, this had no effect on the hard freezes. At first I was worried it was my system that was starting to die, but the issue only occurs in DUST, I have played many other games for hours with no issues, also i have heard from my corp mates that some of them are experiencing the same issue. |

delete some chat channels it worked for me and i mean i tried everything else and it was just my chat channels. |

This also happens to me constantly on the WB, every other game, I believe its related to the chat pannel as it always freezes when I open it.

Number of chat channels doesnt seem to matter, this character is at max channels and freezes constantly, but so does my alt who only has 3 channels |

I'll try deleting some channels, it does seem to happen usually when I have the chat window open, last time I was adding people in my squad to my contacts list when it did it. |
