-Well choose a weapon, skill into that, at least level 3 (ADV) -Then get a basic dropsuit, ADV if possible. -Then Start Training CORE skills, that give you passive gains on ALL loadouts, like 5% + shields per level or +5% CPU for fittings ETC.
When you have at least 2 of them at level 5 and the rest at level 3-4 you will already know what you want to play as... XD Depending on your gungame, you can always play defensively , like holding an objective or your team, and giving nano hives and revives to those who need it. |

Spec into a heavy or assault suit and then choost one gun and spec into that and then go to core upgrades and spec all the way into shield or armor to get the most out of your suit and thats about it. |

Invest the most on Core (circuitry, engineering, etc) skills.
Do not go straight to prototype weapons and/or dropsuits by skipping the standard and advanced version. You will regret your choice.
Join a corp.

That was your first ceremonial troll post.
Use militia grade weapons to see what you like first (find 'em in the marketplace). Invest SP afterwards.
I suggest you join Dust University. It's a corp (a corp is a clan or guild or fleet, depending on what games you hail from) that takes in newbies and teaches them what to do. They can help explain everything. |

Obviously you've never ran a corporation, done team work, or been in a squad. Go back into your cage peasant. |

Make an alt to try out all the weapons then delete it after you figure out which you like the most.
Also, tower camping forge gunners are game breaking from a level design point of view and have no counter besides themselves or proto snipers with a clear view and luck. |

Pheasant in a cage.
Corp skills aren't useful unless you have some spare SP and one million isk (or is it greater? I've forgotten) or more to drop. |

Gun first, take the duvolle AR to proto, or if you really wanna try another weapon take that to proto, (operation 5, prof. 1) Then you'll wanna go to an ADV dropsuit & complex modules to fit on it, the modules will take longer than the gun, but they are REALLY needed.
Or you could become a tanker, in which case get acces to the level 1 armor upgrades then take your turret straight to proto, so you can kill other top of the line tanks even though your squishy, same concept as infantry--you wanna have a good weapon so even if your squishy, you can take down all the people with proto everything. |

u could try putting your sp into skills that will make your free gear better in the end such as drop suit shield upgrades...
get a feel for the game watch out for the stress causing pubstomp matches...u will have to endure those by being more crafty than the others..and a great corp to join would be planetary response organization...
for beginners...
although i suggest u be smart with your sp and read the information on how the skills work and what they do.... |

A good group of people to talk to in-game is 10x better than these forums.

You should go for Logistics; they are an even balance between assault and scout AND also have the best high, low and equipment slots to play around with; letting you theorycraft to your hearts desire.
To help you with your choice heres a Logistics guide to help you out...
P.S. Don't go for Corporation skills as creating a corp is best done and managed in EVE Online. |

Get a frame suit you like to lvl 3 Get your armor and shield up skills increased, same with you armor plate and shield extender skills, all those to at least 3 but use the basic plates with enhanced extenders Get your grenade skill up so you have access to flux and AV nades Then work on your primary weapon, you dont need to max it but get it to level 3 Sidearm find something you like and get it to level 1 just to reduce costs Your PG and CPU upgrade skills should be worked in that order whenever they are needed to keep upgrading
For pubs you dont need full proto to be competitive so advanced gear should tide you over for a while Just be warned you have a long wait ahead of you if you plan on branching out, for instance picking up a sniper rifle or swarm launcher to help counter things will set you back Hell this characters got 7+ mil and is nowhere near close to being "done" |
