In order to support more squad tactics can you display the battle map that is about to be played on a wall within the lobby. This would add strength to squad play as you could have a quick discussion about opening tactics without waiting to see what the map looks like when the game actually loads. |

This is something we want to do. I however do not know when it will be done or by what means specifically. The map on the table was originally meant to display the terrain / game mode. We may or may not do that in the future still. |

just imagine the possibilities. example: Your in a corp battle and using team chat you tell squad 0 charge in the front of the new facility map while squad 1 takes the long way around to provide support while squad 2 provides air support with dropships. pre-battle strategizing just might be even more effective than squad play. you would even be able to tell blueberries what to do and they could look at the map and get ready! |

Doesn't anymore. Sadly we only had the old Line Harvest map at that time. More maps in exchange has been a fair trade. |

It doesn't even need to include the sockets in the early release of the feature. Just the landscape. The socket view could come so much later, and things would still be better. It just makes it easier to determine which fits to expect from the enemy, and therefore, what you'd want to run before you get there. No more needing to tweak suits from the 'Pick your coffin' menu. Have it ready (or favorited) before you deploy! |

i used to really like the wire frame of the map on the table. it's a good idea, and should be reestablished. |

A 2D map would be good enough. How hard is it to display an image on a table like that? |

Thanks for replying, I really appreciate that. One thing I would like to add is that this is the sort of small change than can make a big difference. I play with people from my work and half the joy is being in a squad together. Even if Dust wasn't that great a game (thankfully it pretty good so no worries there), it has to be appreciated that supporting strong squad play would still make it fantastic fun and keep players playing. For me this is a small change with a big impact that really gives the feeling of team play from the get go. |

It's a minor change, the assets are all there, and as others have pointed out, it would improve planning--which is kind of the whole point of the warbarge. Also, give us the name of the map. It's annoying to have to google "line harvest" to remember which map that one is. It's hard to learn the names because the only time we see them is in the forums. |

Don't forget the roaming NPC drones that could be placed in districts or go haywire and attack your district. Even if they just become the equivalent of a COD killstreak reward/care package they should be brought in to play. They looked like they would be badass to fight. |

I have an easy solution for you:
Instead of worrying how to create a meaningful 3D presentation of the map in the war barge hanging lobby, Just add the action button for people facing the map board which takes them onto basic map view.
Bonus point for coders if squad/team leaders are able to set orders/rally points on map visible for those viewing it. |

Just have it display the overview map when you click on it.
It doesn't need to be a 3D display of everything. |

You could just have a flat 2d map with building and terrain representations, very similar to the 2d top down maps you have in the map forum section. Just have it lit in blue light with some fuzzy glow to represent that it is a hologram or something. |

If you can't do a holo map of amazingness can you do a hologram that projects what SI we would be fighting in, like if I was going to fight in the new Research Lab SI, the holo table would project RESEARCH LAB in giant blue letters that not even the blind can miss. |
