Currently weapons' kick is in no way related to your stamina. What I am proposing is that your stamina is linked to your weapons accuracy. The less stamina you have the more the barrel of your weapon climbs with each shot. This will help to reward tactical movement over rushing into combat.
Thoughts?

but then i can't go and leeroy jenkins/Han Solo style run in with a standard suit and kill lots of enemies.
what's the fun of running into the center of 6 people if you can't even kill at least 5 of them XD
why would i want less accuracy when i'm completely exausted out of stamina.

Yes, I'm suggesting that CCP make the gun game more challenging. Sacrilege, I know. But the result of this would be that players who move cautiously and think about their tactics will gain more of an advantage over the rushing swarms. |

This actually makes sense. I like it. Laser weapons should have no barrel climb increase with depletion of stamina though, since they're just shooting light. |

This actually makes a lot of sense; the more someone is physically exhausted, the harder it is to control recoil. |

there is no gungame....most ppl just strafe,,,and spray and pray,,,,with a proto weapon...
what would add a little more skill or balancing out the field would be a gear restriction.. |

Maybe, but think of this: The ones that already have Proto gear are more likely to have Biotics Lv5 and maybe even Cardiac regulators making the Gunfight gap EVEN BIGGER for new players or players under 5mil.
i mean i like the idea, but , just a thought.... |

It would certainly kill the sprint in and shoot tactic. What it would encourage light frames to do is flank. Hide. Then kill from a concealed position and run away.
Playing this way would reward light frame users who favor hit and run tactics and penalize those who try to go toe to toe. This could be said of all suits though.
I think the ones it would most affect would be heavies since it make them less mobile and much more the point defense machines they are meant to be. |

I looked into this actually and light suits have much more stamina than other suits, 260 on my scout 160 on my assault. Having over 100 more stamina would mean that they would have a much easier time retaining ther accuract than an assault player would even with more frequent sprinting.
I don't even know if any changes are needed to accomodate scouts other than making the barrel climb penalty based upon having less than (and this is just for the purposes of discussion) say 100 stamina with a proportional increase in the climb based on how much less than 100 stamina you had.
This would make it so that you could use sprint for tactical movement in all suits but not just run about willy nilly. This would also give scouts far and away the best 'tactical sprint' distance since they have much more stamina than any other class. |

It would definitly have to be done carefully. That is for sure.
CCP really should open a test server so we could help them figure out how changes to mechanics would affect the game. |

My CEO runs around with 1800 stamina on one of his fits. It would be glorious if it went off % of stamina left so then there would be an added incentive to use the modules that increase max stamina. |

I agree and having some barrel climb on any weapon with a projectile that has mass would eliminate a lot of the QQ over assault rifles. It would also decrease the viability of the auto aim since people would have to use the right DS3 stick to keep the target on. Many new players who can manage shooting now thanks to auto aim would find it harder to stay on target if they had to work with two dimensions of movement to keep the auto aim active. |

I think we can all agree on that. Making barrel climb too extreme or making it begin to take effect at too high of a stamina rate would make any semblance of gun game evaporate. |

Suggestions? That sounds like a good idea. It would certainly make the game more challenging. CCP, look over here!
I was also thinking there should be a couple more actions added to use up stamina. Take a dodge roll aka a combat roll aka a barrel roll for instance. It could be used to perhaps break an auto aim lock for a few seconds after the roll. And it looks a lot better than jumping around like some kind of leprechaun. |

Best part about this idea is that it would help reduce the bunny hop garbage. Only in a virtual world can anyone jump around like a fool and manage to put rounds on target. |

Yes, it would encourage more realistic tactical movement.
I feel like weapon weight vs bullet weight should also play a part in the barrel climb but need to think more about how that would mesh with the stamina vs bullet climb mechanic. |

If stamina is going to affect lasers it shouldn't be recoil it should produce barrel sway. This would make a ton more sense then adding barrel climb to a laser weapon. |

Its going to be hard to implement well and certainly generate many tears but it t makes sense and it encourages the use of tactics. Stamina should regulate barrel sway. Lasers need to be affected by this too. |

I am pretty sure he is just referring to the weapon's aim swaying back and forth since this could reasonably be affected by heavy breathing or general tiredness. |
