Welcome mercenaries. As promised when I posted the first chapter back in the My DUST 514 section, I have been writing a bit more and would more than love to share our non-confidential version to the public. The first three chapters are posted now here, and will be updated periodically so you can check out the thread from time to time to see how things are coming along.

I've been overlooking the Dust community and the various lore segments that people have implemented. I must say that I am impressed and humbled to hear about you all. "Diary of a Mercenary" - a great series started by a very creative female gamer. This is another good one that I've seen on here and I wanted to give a shoutout to you Rinas Rylos for your consistency and integrity, keep up the good work!.
For my style of writing, the flow of the reading is that of a screenplay. I wanted to make the reader feel comfortable with reading the story without the intimidation of long, long, stories. The chapters are fairly short and sweet, and contain a lot of personality to bring life to the development of the corporation. New faces are added all the time, and in response, new people will be implemented in the storyline as the Chronicles continue. Our stories are focused on the corporation, but aren't limited to just these mercenaries, and you will probably notice this fairly quickly. I hope you all have a wonderful time reading the excerpts, and may you enjoy this game at a deeper level than just shooting each other in the face for money :)

Chapter three is just about complete. I must say that I am having fun writing it because there is just so much to put into these stories! I want to start getting some pictures into the flow of things as well.

Chapter 3 had that cliff-hangar that sent a tingle down my spine! I remember the good old days when auto-aim wasn't a factor. Speed suits really did bring a bit of uniqueness to close quarters combat.
But for real tho, finish it already!! I want to see what happens with the Laser Squad.
Also, chapter 4 should be pretty interesting. There seems to be a lot of new people in the corp, so im wondering how you're going to fit all that in there.
Good stuff! Lots of action.

Yea I decided that I would leave it that way for just a bit so that that effect would happen lol.
But not to worry, there's plenty more to come. We do have a lot of new people. Right now I'm just tryin to cop a feel as to how these new players talk, play, and act in general. It's a unique concept to have this level of depth in an FPS. |

Chapter three is now fully complete. Just remember to take a deep breath, and read nice and steady. It gets really easy to try to read fast because of that quick access with the dialogue. But once you get the hang of it the flow is just phenomenal.
More to come. Can't wait to dive into the new Racial Assault weaponry. |

I've been working on chapter 4. It is nearing it's completion. This next one is going to dive a bit more into the Minmatar Battle Rifles, as well as the Caldari RailGun Rifles.
I've been doing a bit of Planetary Conquest Ringing with the guys and I think there is much much more to put on the next upcoming chapters. Alot of it involving TeamPlayers as well.
I used one of P3RCUL3S's new 1.7 tanks with him for a PC match. Went 11-0 + 2 Tank Kills.
But yea be on the lookout for the next one pretty soon. This format for turning matches into stories is pretty much unlimited so there's always going to be room for more characters from the Ground Control and constituents.
