It was great actually, CCP went in and refunded all my stuff (of their own accord), even let me keep the stuff I was using while taking back all my dropship stuff. Id actually be right about out of the hole now, and wouldn't have missed too much. Actually I'd probably be better off since I wouldn't be able to throw away millions on dropships for the lulz.

Man, now I wish they didn't take my stuff

That means stop wasting your time with petitions and threads because its not gonna happen. I agree it was very stupid of CCP to not wait until all the dropsuits/weapons were out to do the respec but who am i to say anything iv only spent $200 on this game.

Actually, they have never once said they are not giving respecs, they said they will never give charachter resets again. RESETS. Both start with an R tho, your close. I actually have horrendous memory and pay little attention to peoples names on here. I didn't touch any of the new weapons in any meaningful way, 1 point in PCs, 3 in Flays only to test the advanced when they were OP, now it just sits on one of my heavy fits cuz I'm like 1 PG away from being able to put my Toxin SMG back where it belongs. And that's what I'm saying, I WOULDN'T have dumped the few points I did into dropships and LAVs, I instead would have saved the ISK and SP. I don't even use them aside from trolling I've been playing for a year and a half, there isn't much stuff that I've missed

There will always be that one scrub that wants a respec anyways. But just so we're clear here, CCP may have ruled out the possibility of a full-on respec, but they still left open the door for partial reimbursements of SP anytime they make changes to the skill tree. Case in point, CCP removed the infamous learning skills in Eve Online and refunded the SP invested in those skills to the players who had those skills trained up. They did the same thing when it came time for revamping the entire skill tree for starships. In special cases, you might even get FREE SP if at any time CCP decides to split apart a generalized skill book into the racial variants. Case in point, CCP took the battleship skill book and split it into the four racial variants (Amarr Battleship, Caldari Battleship, etc.). If at the time of the split you had already trained up the general battleship skill to say... level 4, but have also trained up Caldari Battlecruiser and Amarr Battlecruiser to say... level 5, then you automatically get the Caldari Battleship and Amarr Battleship skill books trained to level 4. That is FREE SP right there. If CCP does it to Eve, they will do the same with Dust.
