Too many time snipers or backstabbers farm easy kills while people are hacking, i suggest to make hacking progressive. If you are at 80% and you stop hacking for any reason, the progression bar should drain and go to 70% >>> 60% >>> and so on, instead of start from zero again.

Secure the area before proceeding to hack and try to bring a guy to watch your back.
But I do agree that starting from zero is painful, how about few hacking stages like 100% / 75% / 50% / 25% / Hacked as a crude example? |

I've posted those numbers just to make an idea of what i'm talking about. It's a circular bar it can decrease progressively if no one is hacking. It can have the same decrease rate of hacking speed without abilities or modules. |

Gotta disagree takes from the risk of hacking and if you get stabbed by any half decent knifer you're dead anyway so that's not gonna stop that. |

I reckon change hacking so that neutral installations are hacked in half the amount of time compared to enemy installations, and if you hack an enemy installation past halfway, it becomes neutral. |

ive cleared out the area b4 hacking a few times only to get shot stabbed in the back i agree its a pain
i like the idea of the hack progress decreasing slowly if u die the guy who killed u could speed it up to keep it on his team yea it would still be a pain but not as much say u get it to around 75-80% and have to break off to kill a guy u win i might have dropped to 40-50% its defo better than starting again
the stages idea 100%>>75%>>50 >>25% would make it intresting as ud have to keep checking the terminals a ninja hack to 25% get attacked no alignment change have to retreat guy doesnt check the terminal as he see another enemy aproching dies the second guy could get it to 50% or 75% then have to break off to defend himself only for a 3rd guy to finish the hack
points split accordingly 25 points to the first guy 50 to the second 25 to the 3rd guy

I don't like that much the stage idea but it would be better than now. I like the idea of point split, if you hack 100% you deserve 100wp, if you hack 60% you should earn 60wp and so.

Hacking can be done by more than one merc at a time on one objective/installation/vehicle. This way it can be done faster. With a hack assist WPs. |

Training the Hacking skill could help OP's issue, I count to 3 while hacking then turn around to shoot people. No need to watch the hack while it completes the flip. |

Have you understand the OP? WHILE you are hacking, if you turn around before the hack is completed you have to restart from zero if you are alone.
