It was one of those terminals that is enclosed. Threw a locus in - right inside, didn't see it bounce out and as I said, it's basically a bucket, so there's not many places for it to go.

RE placed through object is invisible.

It's really a black mark against the game - it wouldn't be hard to make a fix where you set up a handful of hitboxes around terminals overlapping the walls around them and if an RE falls inside that hitbox, the system removes it.

But I digress - do only flux grenades clear them out, or what?

i blow them up all the time with my flaylock.

Can't go wrong with 3 successive blasts to clear them out.

Flux Grenade explosions aren't blocked by objects like Locus Grenades are, so I find them better for clearing our REs and Uplinks.

Locus Grenades do work, but you might need to cook them first so they explode nearer/above the RE and not get blocked by the terminal.

Also remember that you can blast-proof RE's by placing them below the level of the NULL cannon platform on the ground outside, but with line of sight to any likely hackers ("right outside the door"). This is a rare move, but it works great if people are just firing a mass driver or locus at the objective and assuming all's well; the blast passes just above the RE, but the RE blast catches the hacker amidships.

 Boom.

Placing RE's "inside objects" hasn't been working great this patch, at least in my experience. They don't sink out of sight and people have gotten good at checking for them in the right places. Maybe I don't know how to do it right, but I get more than my share of kills this way.

Placement of dropped items is supposed to be fixed in 1.4 as well. Hopefully, that will fix hiding things inside of other things.

Are RE's invisible once placed, even if it's just on the ground?
