Despite everythign you guys are saying you realize the stats show the ASCR being better than the AR right?

AR has highest recoil of any gun other than sniper rifle.

I have O SP in AR........

yet I can be really accurate with a Toxin AR, minimal recoil and decent damage

Scrambler rifle is boss, it eats through 500 armor pretty quick in most cases (me being the subject of said immolation). AR needs some type of overheat / jam feature and maybe a smidge less rounds in the clip. We really have to see how this new aiming system effects the gameplay before anyone can really say what will be a good or bad change at this point.

I used a Gek on my alt. Those were fun times.

lol... well after reading a thread i would of missed because just from the title seems like a troll thread. context is slightly broken but not to far that makes the above statements different. btw it shows he doesn't know the difference from spread and recoil.

I have said it before, and i'm sure plenty of others have said it, but I think a better start to any AR changes (if they ever happen), is to differentiate the models more than they are now. If we are going off of RL in any way at all, then yes, the AR in a group sense is a jack of all trades, master of none. That's really how it should be in Dust, the AR as a CLASS OF WEAPON should be the jack of all trades master of none. Individual AR variants SHOULD NOT be the jack of all trades master of none. I would be more than happy to give up some range on my Breach AR, atm when I do score hits at/beyond my weapons maximum range, the damage is insignificant, and therefore I never engage at my weapons maximum range. I am an AR user, and my overall Dust experience level is still questionable, but I think the best route is buff as opposed to nerf (in regards to weapon balance in general, not in regards to AR).

Finally voice of reason. Having to argue with those two nearly drove me insane.

ASCR has way more recoil than an AR. AR is basically a laser of bullets, the ASCR you actually have to compensate cause it does push the gun upwards when using it and there is more bullet spread than an AR.

the recoil in this game is at best minor. the HMG is the only weapon i suggest as a 'high" recoil' weapon.

I lol'd at all of them. I don't think he has ever used another weapon besides an AR from some of the other comments I have heard him make.

The spread is ridiculous but I've grown accustomed to it. However the AR has little spread, and little recoil making it more effective at range.
All that extra ammo the AScR gets doesn't mean jack is half your shots don't hit.

I was so frustrated because I was the only one there who wasn't an imbecile.
