Play with me or find your own Vehicle support and see the dramatic difference in your fighting capabilities and how much faster you can get back into battle.

With my corp mates alone, we've had kill rates of 27+ with a single game going 48/0 and not losing a single tank. While I go 0/0-4/0 and MAYBE get 50K isk. I'm not complaining, I actually like my role. I would just like the WP's that SHOULD come with it.

So if you want to give this a try, message me in game or on here we love you!!! i enjoy logi lavs for the same reason. if only more people were as like minded. sadly too many people worry about their kdr to give a damn about support. tanking is a secondary role for me with logi being my main role. if there is a tank on the field i will rep it if i can, either with another tank or an llav. sadly a lot of the time you find yourself in the same situations even if you are in a squad :(

I'm not too sure, but what I really want is a tankers perception of my idea and if they would give it a try. I know in EVE they need dedicated Logi's in the fleet or they'll have some serious problems. Why hasn't that idea transferred over to Dust?

Adding AV Grenades to an otherwise anti-infantry build costs very little in infantry combat, but gives the player the ability to almost keep up with a dedicated AV player's damage output against enemy vehicles. Is that something that vehicles can work around to some extent? Yes. Should we be required to spider-tank in order to have a hope of surviving? No. Should tanks be be required to focus purely on long-range combat without considering any short-range vehicle builds because even a casual approach to AV on an AR/SMG fitting wipes you out too fast for close combat to be remotely viable? No. AV Grenades are broken OP, but so are LAVs, so a lot of players don't notice, because murder taxis are the popular vehicle to have thanks to the epic fail of CCP trying to balance things. When LAVs got their massive HP buff, the only remotely valid reason was the damage output of AV Grenades. If LAVs and Dropships had received the same HP buff that HAVs got, and AV Grenades had been nerfed instead of buffing LAVs, then not only LAVs, but ALL VEHICLES IN THE GAME would be a lot closer to a good balance point than we are right now.

No. I hear you man and that's what 1.5 is going to accomplish. An overhaul and more balancing, but in the meantime this is a good means of building communication, teamwork, and bringing the hurt to red berries that should be continued even after the patch. The Logi LLAV fits I run aren't only for long range combat. All those stats I put up were actually from blasters. The trick was not getting ahead of yourself and letting the targets come to you. They see two juicy vehicles they want to lob grenades, swarms, and forge at, so they'll definitely be heading your way. I admit, there were times we were so overwhelmed by the opposition, all we could do was sit back in the redline, but even that served it's purpose. While, quite literally, three quarters of the enemy teams were AV, all of our infantry would come in and wipe them out. and so the cycle continued like that. And if the tanker is worried about the ISK they MAY lose, with someone on your tail, switching to a less expensive turret and fitting more defensively never really hurts
