How we apply orbitals inside ship, could we pinpoint place where orbital hit and then orbital destroys that part of ship, that would be sweet |

Not sure what you're getting at? Orbitals are from orbit to surface. Also, making it possible for Dust players to actually take control of a ship EvE side would be very slim.

Maybe call for an attack on the ship from our space bound allies. But orbitals are space to surface. We also won't be able to take control of them, no doubt.
Besides, combat on POS would come first. |

I actually had this crazy idea the other day where certain barriers within a Capital ship would require an EVE player to use a Hacking module, but that might be a bit too far-fetched. |

How about a mechanic where someone else in a different game can control nanites inside your body and you have to get someone else to use their nanites to fight theirs or else you will randomly die while trying to play DUST, except your respawn timer is 10 minutes if you're lucky.
Yeah, that's how ridiculous this whole idea of boarding player's ships in EVE is. |

OB's are space to ground, so it'll have to be a ground installation to shoot a hole through the ship. |

And sniping.
How am I going to snipe?
Might have to brush up on my CQC skills.

Ship Boarding Mechanics: Require a loaded heavy mercenary CRU (which is deployed from the drone bay via the Mercenary Launcher high-powered module.) The first one launched creates a mercenary contract available to his corporation. The module can be cycled to allow corporation/alliance or anyone to join. The number of battles available are determined by ship size.
New Orbital mechanics (as there are no orbitals) Coolant Purge - Once the defenders reach 2500 warpoints they can call in a coolant purge which passes the super-heated coolant through a targeted area, dealing massive damage and eliminating all mercs. (About same size as a precision strike.) Precision Breach - A ship loaded with orbital ammunition can lock onto the merc battle in the ship, once the attackers reach 2500 war points they can perform a precision breach strike against the defenders. The ship damage is quickly patched via shield and armor along with structure nanomachines.
Battleship and higher - One battle created per modules up to sub capital sized. For active modules holding each point reduces its effectiveness by 5% per objective held up to a maximum of 25% reduction if all of the objectives are held. The change in effectiveness happens in real time as the objectives are taken or lost. Capital Sized Modules generate two battles with 2.5% reduction in effectiveness held up to a maximum of 12.5% loss in efficacy if all points are held, and a maximum of 25% if all points across both battles are held.
EDIT:
"Hold that capacitor booster! The reds are making a huge push to the capital armor repair, but we have just finished cloning them out of the resistance banks! We can win this! huuaaaa" |

It just needs to have meaning, we need to be able to have some, if only a little, effect in EvE. Something like taking out/hacking vital subsystems, that will hinder/reduce the boarded vessel's capabilities. |

If i'm flying one of my capitals, you don't really think i would want the fate of the ship to rely on other people, do you?
It would be better if it was something like station boarding, only then the station in orbit of the planet that is beeing conquered. I don't mean the main corporation owned stations, but more like a Station that is part of the conquest system or a place to fight over before a planet is truely conquered. So the corporation that wins, also controls the station. Then in turn they could upgrade it with defensive systems, etc. to help protect the station. The more isk goes into it, the better. Perhaps in return the one that controls the station, would be able to give surtain bonuses to the troops fighting in the districts below.
The other idea would be, that if boarding a ship is an option. then it would have to be some sort of stationaire ship, that an eve side corporation could buy to put in orbit around a planet. This ship would then give bonuses to orbitals, missile attacks, etc. But also on the EVE side should be able to be destroyed. To work this even out better... Perhaps when an EVE side corporation attacks a system. And go's for the planets. They see this ship, they could fire at it to give some innitial damage. But it would be on the dust side whether it would survive or not. If not then it is destroyed. If so then another attack must be mounted against it untill it is destroyed or the EVE system defenders have defended there system.
the second effect such a ship could have is a defensive role against orbital bombing ship. they would simply be destroyed/attacked until the capital was gone and then make the orbital bombing run.
So basicly corp A attacks corp B, they have taken the system, but not the planets yet. For that is part two of the war. They mount an attack on the capital ship, its damaged. and order a Dust corp to board and destroy. Ships Destroyed. Orbital bombers go into position and the battle for the districts begins.
If multiple Corps own the district Dust side. Then the EVE side should be able to decide who to support with there station and capital, untill the districts are under there controll.
If there would not be any capital or stations in orbit, then it would be just another normal PC match.
This system would be alott better then boarding personal ships and upsetting alott of people, in my oppinion. It still effects the EVE side of war, but not on a personal level. Plus it would create the ability to fight on ships and stations. |

One of the CCP devs mentioned or hinted at the idea of Titans being boarded one day in the distant future. After all, those ships are technically about 15-17km in length. That's practically a battlefield the size of Manhattan. |
