Is it 2x SP?
Am I better off not playing until the 6th to maximise the SP I gain due to the cap?
Why cant we just have the usual '2x SP event' instead of the SP being given out afterwards? |

That is just..... ridiculous.
Its as if they really have listened to our feedback, but have done the complete opposite of what we've been asking to try **** us off. |

Not directly. They seem to be trying to take some complaints from early events and fix them. Even now they seem to be trying to listen and clarify/fix things. |

None of which would be necessary if they had simply involved the community from the beginning. I am not excited by the fact that they are willing to fix what is an avoidable mistake. These are the patch notes for the next EVE release.
This is the level of community involvement and feedback that shaped that patch.
There is absolutely no ambiguity about how to do this right. EVE spent the last ten years creating the blueprint for how the devs should engage with the community. For a project with Dust's goals the adoption of this model is not optional. |

Is it a 2x event? No. Only warpoints get doubled. So say your typical Skirmish match lasts 15 minutes and you get 1000 warpoints.
Normal Active skill point gain: 4500 from participating, 1000 from warpoints = 5500 points
Bonus SP event: 4500 from participating, 1000 from warpoints, another 1000 for the event = 6500
As you can clearly tell, 6500 =/= 5500 x 2
Are you best waiting until Friday if you want to maximize SP gained?
YES
Basically you are given less time to play more, that what CCP thinks lessens the grind. |

There's no mention of WP anywhere in the devblog, only SP, so it's safe to assume that all SP will be doubled (well 3k SP anyway LOL).
I know that we're talking about CCP here, and that what they say in the devlog probably isn't even true, but it's clear for me that all SP is supposed to be doubled. |
