Something that doesn't have anything to do with heat build up/overheating?
I've come to love the Scrambler Rifle, specifically the assault version. It's a really beautiful weapon. But the gun cannot be at its full potential with an useless skill. I find that the upcoming change to the operation skill is just as useless as the current one.
The assault Scrambler Rifle doesn't overheat even if you fire full clip. For it to overheat you have reload and continue to fire by desperation, something that's very rare and usually don't happen if you have a sidearm. Faster non overheat cooldown won't be a significant bonus for the gun.
I propose a recoil decrease much like the AR's operation skill. The gun has more recoil than the AR but it has more base accuracy. A very accurate gun with high recoil while being automatic means a lot of the shots will miss. Then you can add a sharpshooter skill that can increase the gun's accuracy.
That + bad hit detection is the main problem that I have with the assault Scrambler Rifle. Oh and the muzzle flash...it's no wonder why no one uses this gun and prefers the AR. Please tone down muzzle flash asap.

The Basic Scrambler rifle is the one that it really helps, The assault Scrambler pistol rarely overheats on the level that the Standard one does. |

Maybe they could just release a separate Sharpshooter skill, like with the AR. I wouldn't belabor the assault version not overheating too much bit, I think it might just give them the idea to increase heat production. |

I think the muzzle flash is fixed for 1.4
As for changing it from the new faster heat cooldown HECK NO. The assault scrambler might not really get a bonus from this, but the fact it doesn't overheat easily should be enough for it.
I do agree that the high recoil is a bit drastic, but let's see how it fairs with the new update first.
Seriously though, the new cooldown speed is wonderful for users of the standard, and I would hate to have it go just to increase the abilities of the other variant. |

I'm starting to wonder if the design intention behind amarr weapons is supposed to reflect the 'don't back down' approach of Amarr warfare. If you are supposed to crouch and risk fire just to get that more accurate ability, that would be a kind of new and different way to play. |

I know I know...they should add a recoil reduction skill much like the AR has its sharpshooter skill. Then semi auto Scrambler keeps its useful skill while the auto version gets its own.

If only the gun had more range...
By the ranges it actually works I have to be constantly running between cover.

I know. On paper and using the target intel and the DeltaIddon's graphs the scrambler rifles should be able to compete with the AR at 50m where they have at least a 10% damage bonus, and at around 60-65m they have like a 40-50% advantage on AR. However, the dispersion, constant RoF, lack of kickback, sharpshooter skills all add up to the AR being able to hit much more reliably at that range and still outperform the scrambler often. |

I agree, the assault scrambler should overheat faster so this skill is more useful. |
