I'm experiencing an extremely annoying bug with the Mass Driver. I will post exactly the equipment I'm using as I'm having this bug, since I haven't tried with different weapon variants.
Light Weapon: Mass Driver. Basic STD model.
Sidearm: Militia Sub Machine Gun
This happens only when Mass Driver's magazine is empty and the auto-reload kicks in. Whenever I press R1 after running out of ammo, the gun starts reloading automatically. At this point, if I try to switch to my SMG, something strange happens:
-I fail to switch to my sidearm
or
-The game shows I'm switching weapons but I end up with the Mass Driver again, but it does not reload properly
or
-The game display an SMG dropping an empty Mass Driver magazine and my hands putting another Mass Driver magazine into my SMG (the displayed SMG looks weird when this happens). After that, I cannot fire my SMG and I have to switch back to the Mass Driver, aim (ADS) and then switch back to the SMG to fix the issue.
I would post video feedback right now, but I don't have the needed equipment for live-recording. |

I can confirm this happens with the EXO-5 and STD SMG as well. |

Old problem. Not only limited to MD if I recall correctly. Although possibly the others have been fixed as none have replied to your post.
Part of the animation (and the time required) for the reload. If you manage to hit the wrong moment then you will not get your SMG and instead be a much nicer target for the approaching Red.
Edit: Kittens! Sorry, I forgot to mention the most common workaround. For all controller/animation glitches press R3 (melee) as that seems to reset the state of the controller and the animations.

happens with all weapons still... and no one probably replied because there was 5+ posts on the same bug a couple of weeks back... |
