Would be nice if you could have a modified uplink that would only work for extraction to vehicles, specifically dropships, within a certain range. Example...the std "extraction" uplink would have a 20m radius and the drop ship could do a low flyby and pick you up. Higher tier modules have longer range and more uses. You could have a team of dedicated pilot, 2 gunners, and 4 assaulters that could wreck house in a skirmish match.
This would generate several tactical options. I could see a scenario where the drop ship would be a logi variant and your could swoop in and extract guys from a hot area, rep armor while they are in vehicle, then drop them on another target. |

Um am i just not understanding what your talking about?? you do realize that vehicles can fit a mobile cru and that logistics dropships COME WITH ONE BUILT IN!! whatever this complex piece of equipment would be -1 from me as it would be COMPLETELY useless unless im completely misreading what you wrote. |

Not talking about a spawn node...I'm tracking that. Imagine if you had a device that once you got into range of the dropship you cld hit the "O" button adn be teleported (spawn) into the vehicle. Point is that you don't die and respawn; it's used as a rapid means of extracting or picking up the ground team instead of landing the dropship. |

Ok, although I understand your idea I have yet to see an uplink that can transport players between UPLINKS. No need for a modification to uplinks or one uplink until we at least can transport from one uplink to another which would be a really cool idea. Also, with the mobile CRUs in vehicles already this would solve what is an already limited use of wormhole tech (just deploying to the battle field is a cop-out). Wormholes have the ability to have traffic flow in two directions. The Uplinks should allow the same thing. If you feel the battle is going poorly, rather than killing yourself by leaving the battle, you could use an uplink to return to the clone vat and allow someone better skilled to take your place when leaving the battle without clone loss.
Another use of the ability to return to the Vat is to redeploy after picking the wrong dropsuit. With a 3 second deployment on the fastest uplinks available it would take 3 seconds to go back to the Vat to deploy again at a different uplink with a different suit or the same uplink with a different suit.
Many of us have been discussing a way to carry a mobile supply depot to be able to change suits, I think that this would remove the need. Uplink to clone Vat to Uplink or CRU deployment should be possible. |

ok now i understand, but i still dont see the point of making a work around to the fact that dropship hp sucks id rather see a buff so that a dropship could come in and pick people up and then bug out. something to make it good for whats its supposed to be a method of transporting the wholke squad. |

Interesting, maybe have it be like a sky hook type idea, dropship does low fly by of the equipment and it jumps and latches on and pulls the squad up to the dropship. Like cables or something, I think this would be really cool |
