Get a python, hate forges and rails.

I already have one and I really want to go deeper in the dropships.

Get an incubus and enjoy being a sky tank, besides that good abilities with dropships allow you to do things other players can't or do very slowly, like getting to an objective at incredible speeds, landing perfectly, dropping uplinks, hacking the point and flying off.

One of my favorite things to do in a match is to take my uplink suit fly to a number of good strategic points on the map dropping uplinks then flying back to base to swap suits before rejoining the battle, by the time i've done this the average blue berry has just arrived at the front line.

DO NOT SPEC INTO ARMOUR DROPSHIPS

they are awful, swarms are stupidly powerful against them and forgeguns/rails dont make a different since they can take out dropships equally well.

I have liked them a lot just messing with the militia ones and I have nothing better to spec into. I am already in vehicle upgrades because I tank a little bit and want to try something new. Thinking about going assault dropship because I don't like relying on blueberries. But the logi in me screams to be a kredit to the team.

Forte, you have told me about your dropshiping and am kind of hoping you would weigh in on this too.

Well the python is one of 2 assault dropships, not really sure how you can go deeper except for shield/armour/propulsion modules, which tbh I think is more fun to try out yourself.

You could have spec into something else that gives better WP.

Don't go into an Incubus, they fly slower than Pythons and also are a larger target, not to mention they get hurt more by missiles than shield ADS's do, making them the ultimate loser in dogfights. Honestly it would be a good idea to just get all your ADS skills at 5 and get an XT-Accelerated missile on the front, with ward shield extenders added & maybe an afterburner if you feel like speed is your best suit.

And if you truly want to go "deeper" into dropships, also skill into level 5 for logistics and shield tank that one too, my Eryx has 4,620 shields and 1,000 armor making it a flying tank basically. Even proto forge guns still aren't able to take me out before i get far enough out of their range and just drop units, but the logi DS is still underpowered right now, however apparently it might be getting the buff it has been in desperate need of for quite some time.
